Bubble wrap makes a wonderful print with the Gelli Plate.
I have been told that in workshops it is best to not say I can see "a such & such" in a creation But, here, I have no rules. So, I am going to say: I kind of see a man with a hat on a bike:-).

cropped from an earlier print (www.flickr.com/photos/40677827@N05/10058303714/). This was my favorite part of the original print. I've used pencil to define the "tree" shape a bit. This one makes me happy.

Cut out flower shapes, titanium white, enhanced with colored pencils. The black paper was from a photo album, very smooth. Gelli plate, golden open acrylics. Ghost print (second print). I had paint on both side so the stencil, so there are some white areas in the flower shapes, which have been colored over with colored pencil.

inspired by prompt at oneyearartjournal.blogspot.com/. Gelli Plate layers with masking fluid and gesso.
Gelli monoprint/monotype on paper (I believe the ones made with stencils are monoprints, since I can use the stencil to pull multiples, while the ones where I painted directly on the plate are monotypes because there is only one full print, and maybe a ghost print.)
The abstract pieces are part of my Sun Dances series derived from plant shadows; they were made by arranging paper 'left over' after cutting out plant shapes (eg the shapes of the holes in the leaves)
5 X 7 inches (printed area)
A Gelli plate is a commerically made gelatin-type plate for monoprint/monotyping that makes it very very easy to pull prints without a press. I got one in January of last year and had loads of fun playing with different techniques. You can google for more info on Gelli printing, this link looks pretty good: keetonsonline.wordpress.com/2013/05/16/all-about-gelli-pl...

Acrylic gel plate monotype.
I did some floral prints today on the gel plate. I gathered some plants and brought them into the house. To do a gel plate floral, you first ink up the plate with the colors you want, lay the plants on the plate, and make a print. This gives you a negative. You then take the plants off the plate and make another print to make a positive. I was surprised by how much detail showed up in the positives. Image is about 6x6 inches (15x15 cm).
