We used to go to Red Robin all the time. I think it was when our kids were young and ate meat. I think the last time I went was by myself when I was working for a client in Michigan. I asked for a burger of some sort and a side salad instead of fries. My server thought she was doing me a favor by bringing me the fries anyway because they were “bottomless”. I must admit as far as manufactured fries go they are quite good. That said, there’s nothing like chips from an English chippy cut straight from the potatoes and fried in front of you. Which makes me wonder why the are called French fries because I’m sure the English make them more. When I grew up, everybody had a chip pan sitting on the stove loaded with lard ready to make the evening batch of chips.
