As I start to set power for cruise I realize my mixture is at full rich, which probably did not help my engine temps. Been a month since I've flown...

Looking out over Harrison Bay just west of Prudhoe

A sea of clouds out over the Arctic Sea

Finally get to see the entire runway and make ready for my turn to final

Heeeyyy!! Rolled a wheel off the side of the runway but missed the fence :)

Early morning fog sitting in the valleys

Time to taxi out to the active. Not even bothering to talk to ATC either

Making another almost 90-degree course correction

Climbing out of 3N6 was an interesting challenge with the ~20kts coming out of the WNW - I actually had to use some aileron in addition to rudder to keep the plane on and then over the runway and not get blown into the trees

Coming around off base onto final

Noticing a disparity between my altimeters I realized the digital one was reporting based on GPS, not air pressure. So you use the analog one to report to ATC, the digital one to know your actual height above sea level

Stord Bridges, which lead to a tunnel crossing under the Bømlafjorden

Heading across the waters towards Vestmannaeyjar

Heading inland for a bit to get around some dense clouds

Skimming below the cirrus layer

Cruising up the western coast of Finland at 18,500'

Passing Faresmaathoda Airport on the southernmost edge of the Huvadhoo Atoll, the atoll where I began flying the Twotter from the eastern edge

Passing the VFR report point of Current Creek, looking out at the Chigmit Mountains

Leaving Lake Titicaca behind as I bank over the city of Juliaca

Ran off the runway and clipped my wings on the fence. Bollocks

Looking out over the Archipelago Sea

Back up to 4,500' as I pass over Cape Henlopen, DE with Cape May, NJ off across the bay

Heading into Jotunheimen National Park

Heading away from Mount Iwaki to continue my journey south

Cruise altitude of 2,500' doesn't really put you up that high over the ground anymore. Those clouds in the distance look mighty low...

Airfield in sight, that is Andrew in the pattern ahead of me just above the Angostura Reservoir

Spotting the airport - I'd say I've flown a while since the last photo and broke out from under the clouds but no, the weather just updated and now displays more favorable-looking conditions

Hrmmm starting to deal with some weather now. Clouds aim to block my way

Several communications antenna as well as an observation tower in Yahikoyamaohira Park

Seal Cay, Jamaica Cay, Flamingo Cay are all made up of even smaller islands and strung out into the distance

Back-taxiing towards the parking area

Crabbing is fun! Who wants a boring old straight approach anyways? Boring people, that's who!

Made it over the clouds, will just have to see what I can see...

The tallest peak to the left is Mount Eagle just short of the clouds

Well that was a nice low pass but gotta head back up again....

Enjoying the cloudscape as I climb

Topping the clouds as I head for Saba

Of course, things clear up on the other side of all that convection once I get over the clouds

If you know where to look you can see Saba just poking out to the side of the clouds
