Climbing out over the East Sound that splits the center of Orcas Island. Cruise ship spotted over in the West Sound
Ooops, a few times I accidentally switch off fuel flow to the engine turning the knob the wrong way with the mouse wheel
Getting permission from ATC to go wherever the fuck I want - at least that's how I like to interpret it
Broken clouds on the other side of the Tsugaru Strait lets me head back down beneath the cloud layer
Coming up on short final and the clouds decide to dissipate now that they've fucked with my approach. Thanks! Thanks a lot!
Flying towards the shore, looking back north out across Sandy Hook beyond to the Narrows and NYC, with Long Island stretching out to the east
A much fairer day at Cleveland as me and my friend get set to depart from the lakefront airport for a golden hour flight of island hopping, repeating the route I took on my last outing
Banking south looking across Northern Eleuthera Island and its airport, yet another jet strip *yawn*
Closest pass over the small pod. I didn't realize it at this time but looking at the replay footage there was a *huge* pod also swimming out towards the horizon. D'oh!! Will have to look around in a wider area next time I go whale hunting
Finally acquiesce to the CAS message about the pitot heat when I notice it's below 5°C OAT. Also note the green reticule hiding behind the airspeed tape on the left of the PFD - that's the direction I'm *actually* traveling in due to the wind
Ooops spoke too soon - good thing these floats also help me not flip the aircraft as I fail to compensate for crosswind
Passing abeam of Miami Int'l and realizing ooops I drifted a bit too close, that is the North Cement Plant under my tail and I'm 2,500' in an area with a floor of 1,500'
Flying helicopters is not the only responsibility that helicopter pilots of Upper Limit Aviation have as proven by Marc Ballif, a Certified Flight Instructor for Southern Utah University and Upper Limit Aviation. One of Marc's many responsibilities is keeping the instructors under him and their student's in line through checking paperwork for errors and proper flight logging. Marc is explaining to the Assistant Chief Pilot Richard Cannon (not shown) why his stack of paperwork is so high while struggling up the stairs.
My friend Andrew is off my wing as we cruise past the famous huge beaches of Wildwood. Conditions remain closed in
Making another trip down the Hudson, eventually landing on the beach at Sandy Hook. Andrew switched to the fast Cub model and it was really hard to keep up but there were times we had a great formation going
Errrmmmmm... OOOPS. But wait, why isn't the fuel just being pulled from the main tanks instead? Aaaahhh what do I do what do I do
Crossing over JMSDF Shimohusa Air Base to stay clear of any traffic arriving/departing. The Tokyo skyline starts to come into view
Well, I didn't break through the ice in my forced landing and I'm only 5nm from the airport so I'll just need to have someone come tow me in with a snowmobile right? Right.
Radio tower atop the Tokyo Electric Power Company building used to be a skyline feature that is now lost amongst the skyscrapers
