Looking back south down the Teshio River valley

We managed to get close again as we passed midtown Manhattan

Looking from out the window down at the park with the Safari off in the distance

Taxiing onto the runway for departure - oooh that's a nice approach too

Another look back at Frosty Peak this time from the sunlit side. Further in the distance barely discernible from the clouds is the Pavlof Volcano

Adjusting for gyro drift in my heading indicator as I aim for North Bay

Swerving back onto proper approach for base leg

Straight shot to Princeton, NJ - hey we got an arrival inbound

Got a warning for enabling the AP without first enabling the YD - never done that before. Ended up switching the AP off again anyways when I decided to swing around the island first

Looking out over the main section of the island

Banking hard over the Great Sound to finally get on course for home

Looking for the airport - hard to spot and I forgot the approach should be over the quarry

The geological past of the altiplano is written in the terrain

Reserve fuel level reached, should still have plenty for approach right? Right?? Well - maybe if it were straight-in....

Short taxi down the runway and turned about right into takeoff thrust. Prob coulda just turned this way from the taxiway

I dunno how the game generates these water patterns but it's real cool and realistic and makes it so there's not just a featureless blue expanse beneath you

Small atolls are all you see out here

Coming off AP to line up for my straight-in approach. West to East across the South Pacific is the way to go!

Looking out over the towns of Burlington and Mt Vernon along the Skagit River with Mt Baker in the distance

Guided missile destroyer (I think) sailing out of or towards the naval yards near Seattle

Passing over the Bird Rocks, Olympic Mountains in the distance and if you look closely just above and to the right of the cruise ship - Mt Rainier

Headed south along the Wenatchee River

One last look back at Mt Rainier

Coming over Oak Harbor atop its Charlie airspace with Mt Baker dominating the horizon

For reasons of national security I'm not supposed to fly over that area below 2,900'. Hrmmmm now I'm curious tho!!

Keeping an eye out for any traffic out of Blakely Island

Passing over Mountain Lake and down towards the other side of the mountain

Looks like some folks are anchored and having a good time at Sucia Island Marine State Park

*sigh* at some point I'll come around for final lined up more often than not

Slotting between the sea birds on short final

Climbed up to 4,500' to stay above the plateau. Cascades getting closer

Busy out in the waters as well as the air
