The fuel gauge is not easy to keep an eye on and of course since running out of fuel that one time I've made a habit of checking it often and it's never been low enough for me to even notice

And out over the Great Australian Bight it doesn't look much better either. I have very little fuel margin to deviate from my mostly direct course

Taxiing out - winds were blowing a bit more towards the opposite end, and I would have to climb uphill a bit to takeoff with a hill at the end of the runway, but you know what? I want to takeoff in the direction I'm heading, dammit
Just lightning, not an atomic bomb test. Hey this flight might be interesting after all since there's really no other reason to look out the window
Glad I chose 4L to keep 4R available to AI traffic so I didn't have to deal with any go-arounds. Making sure this guy is slowing at the end of his roll before crossing
Woooaaahhh Nelly! Literally seconds after releasing brakes the nose just wants to fly right up. I didn't notice this at the time but my elevator trim had traveled allll the way back to full pitch up
I think you can see better in this image than I actually could looking at my monitor - I know for sure I didn't see where the trees were I just did my best to keep it straight on departure
