Back taxiing to the runway end - it's a short runway

A closer look at the twin peaks of Golden Ears mountain

Another look over at the traffic fiasco for Vancouver Airport

Pacific sea fog rolling inland across Viña del Mar as I make land fall over the South American continent

Hoping to make it to the Faroe Islands before sunset. Gonna be close...

Coming over an area known as Rocklea and I'm like "rock fuck yea!" that is an amazing landscape

Thankfully no serious crosswinds trying to blow me into those trees... I'm a pretty big bird!

I finally set to local pressure minutes after listening to the ATIS. Don't fly fatigued, folks

Getting ready to turn off base onto final

Range looks good after the climb to altitude. Will check again when over Greenland. Swept up in the jet stream so being carried along at over 400kts! This was planned, I checked the winds before departing, and will be a major factor in whether I need to stop and refuel

Getting ready to taxi out together in our Cubs. Rockin the bush wheels for the first time with the upgraded Ford Mustang V6 engine aboard as well

Holding short off the runway as Andrew declared himself ready just after I landed

Had to take off west into the 15-20kts of wind so swung around the Cape and the lighthouse on it to begin heading north up the shore

Glad I won't be venturing further north along the coast cause the weather isn't looking so great up ahead

Clouds are starting to scatter as I reach Texas, as expected, which is good because this is the longest leg on which I'll be holding a bearing so lots of time for deviation to throw me well off course

Pulling out onto the runway to start my take off run

Heading up to 3,500' cruise altitude and already dodging clouds

passing over the field at Chub Cay. Long runway yes but an interesting approach at least

Old city by the coast, new city inland. In front of my right wing is the large Plaza Las Américas shopping mall with some sports arenas behind my wing

Turning to track the 071 radial out of West Palm Beach VOR and begin the journey over the Atlantic to Grand Bahama Island

Oh, it was telling me ITT was about to go critical! Interesting I never noticed the warning before so I guess other times I was in external view or the temp hit redline so fast it didn't have time for the warning

Descending towards Manaus over several rain showers, will just miss that cumulus cloud billowing up to my left as I head for a hole in the distance

I can't catch a break!!! Almost made it up to cruise altitude and my pressurization system fell behind

Leeetle windy out, trying not to let the plane flip as I slip

Roppozawa Bridge along one hell of an awesome looking mountain road on the slope of Mt. Nyoho

Cruising along the Yokohama Bay Bridge and the Tsurumi Tsubasa Bridge to make my way back to Tokyo

Looking down towards the city of Keflavik as I climb for cruise altitude

Final climb to get above the upcoming mountains as I head back inland

Looking down upon the residential and retail Frogner district

Looking out over the Imperial District with the Imperial Palace grounds well defined by greenery

Well at least paying my landing/tie down fees will be easy! Look forward to the next leg, this plane is fun

A nice wide field with an easy paved strip for the final destination - Big Creek

Oooh a road! Unfortunately the Canadian charts up here that I am using are not as detailed as the US VFR charts and most roads are not charted. Also note my manifold pressure has dropped below the 30" I set it to earlier as I'm so high the superchargers can't quite keep up

Cruising along the beautiful Oregonian coast, heading north past Cape Lookout

Don't look too closely at this photo of me parked at Fair Isle. I forgot to work out the dual-scenery conflict before loading the flight. Oh well

Getting ready to climb back aboard at Cairo

New Caledonia stretches across the horizon as I draw closer

Enhanced image of my short final approach. Wowzers! All I did was tell Paint.NET to Auto-Level the image, then had to adjust brightness/contrast to remove some graininess

Departing Princeton from Rwy28 and climbing manually to cruise altitude and course

What jerks we are at parking! Looking north again towards the Adirondacks - next time!

Higashi Hongan-ji temple complex visible as I approach downtown Kyoto

Lined up for approach into Rosario

Taxiing out to the active as the sky continues to lighten

Tanking back up for the last leg back to KWWD

FL120, trimmed out and cruising along the Delaware River. Fuel pumps and oxygen on so the engines and I remain functional up here
