Treasure Cay airport. These airports down here are super long to accommodate the arrival of international rich people in their private jets, rather than just built for inter-island transportation on smaller planes

Passing over the island of Anguilla

Bit of a dive on short final, still haven't gotten the hang of a good landing profile for this aircraft

Crabbing out on departure to try and stay on runway heading as the wind tries to blow me off to the side

Catastrophic mudslides, or lehars, have left their mark on the landscape as twisting canyons leading towards Cagayan de Oro

on the shore of Macajalar Bay

Settling in to cruising altitude as I come over the mountains of Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park with Fuji looming in the distance

Rounding the eastern tip of the northern range to find some impressive rock formations

The Jōetsu Shinkansen's elevated tracks cut through the farmland, heading south from Niigata. This is why there are so few airports in Japan, because the train travel is so good

Passing Niigata as I continue north towards the mountains

Have now turned westward towards Mount Iide, the peak in the foreground

Hard to make out additional volcanic peaks lost in the clouds as I exit Bandai Asahi National Park to the west, passing the city of Kitakata

The resort hotel Tengendai Kogen on the slopes of Mt. Nishi-Agatsuma

Another look at Mount Bandai with sun glinting off the lakes of Hibara and Akimoto

Getting cloudy up ahead as I approach Lake Inawashiro

Climbing at a much more leisurely pace up over Lake Inawashiro

Clouds are clearing up again as I look across Fukushima prefecture towards the Tochigi Prefecture

Taking a really close look at my tach as I lean my mixture for best RPM

Circling around Mount Nantai to head for Utsunomiya

I couldn't really find out *why* they built a road into the slope of Mount Nantai that doesn't make it all the way to the top but wow they did get close

Giving myself a second landing light as I descend towards Utsunomiya, looking back at Mount Nantai and the peaks surrounding it

Looking back towards Utsunomiya and the mountains while lined up for final

Straight-on approach thanks to a perfect headwind of 5kts

Taxiing in over a helipad as this airport primarily serves the Japan defense force

This is supposed to be filled with helicopters but here in the sim has been repurposed for GA parking

Sticking to the highway as I continue towards Niigata

Coming up on the outskirts of Niigata

I spy with my eagle eye - Seriously though these things can be hard to see!

Descending into the valley with a clearer look at the shield volcano Mount Gassan in the distance

Late in the day but enough sunlight remains to finish up my tour of the Shetlands. Skies are mostly clear but winds are still whipped up good

Just another jet port for all the rich folk. Might make an arrival at these one day when I have a nice private jet to pilot

Kicked in the boots and my leading edges are clean at least

Looking across the Hudson towards Haverstraw - the white hangar is where a helicopter landing pad resides and a good point to fly out of to get to Manhattan without dealing with the metro area air traffic

ATC said FU and sent me back across the runway to the ass end of the airport parking

Close look at the statues at Ahu Tongariki

I think I'm over the Gulf coast? Turning to a new heading. I had to rely on my timer and knew I had a poor estimation of my TAS so I basically made an educated guess. Still no towering clouds *sigh*

Robinson Crusoe Island is ahead, hidden behind the clouds

Lining up with the VOR that will bring me towards my destination

Passing over Rt. 1 leading out to the Keys

Cruising past islands in the Capricorn Group, some of the most southern reaches of the Great Barrier Reef

Taxiing out. Some of the photogrammetry is bleeding through the buildings. Pay no mind

Mt. Nyoho and the smaller Mt. Omanago

Dodging trees and road lamps on short final - barely making out the paved section of the turf field in time to try and aim for it

Pretty sure that is Cime du Gélas peeking out through the clouds

Terrain!! After so much flatness, even a little bit is a sight for sore eyes. That there is the Big Sioux River

Time to put up the visor - can finally see the horizon again with my own eyes! The Black Hills become apparent on the horizon
