My front yard is all rocks and gravel. I was not expecting to see such a pretty small yellow flower and the delicate leaves.
Critique welcome.
I think somebody was taking sailing lessons or practicing in the harbor at Annapolis MD. Their process for tacking into the wind was not as smooth as it could have been.

For #FlickrFriday. These are pipettes used in the laboratory to measure small quantities, microliters. Using the 100 microliter pipette, one would need to pipette 50 times to fill a teaspoon.
This is my Great-Grandmother who I am named after, Sarah Dickinson Gelder. The Gelder family was from Leeds, Yorkshire, England. They were the "Downtown Abbey" of the day.

An old postcard of the John Ruskin's bedroom in Brantwood, on shelves of books by or about him. Ruskin was a 19th Century British writer on art and society; Brantwood was his last home, at Coniston in the Lake District. The fact that you could buy a postcard of his bedroom shows the level of interest there was in his life and work around the time of his death in 1900.
Electrical kitchen gadgets are popular but my can opener sits at the back of a cabinet while I use some old easy and quick to use old implements.
I am an oldie myself and oldie gadgets are just fine for me!

Interesting b&w image...the passerby's reflection is captured in the window producing an aura effect.
While out walking the other day I came across a bit of broken electronics laying on the side of the road. I don't know what it was when it was whole because only a small bit holding these tiny button cell batteries remained. Possibly a small flashlight? As I don't like leaving discarded batteries I find laying around in nature, I stuck them in my pocket and brought them home to dispose of them properly. Before I did I tested them with a battery tester, and despite looking very weathered, they are all good. Guess I'll keep them, they might come in handy for something.
