Loew's Kings Theatre on Flatbush Ave. in Brooklyn, NY. Opened in 1929, this was a magnificent movie palace where New Yorkers would come to lose themselves in celluloid dreams. Barbra Streisand was an usher here before her Star was born. Shuttered in 1977 and neglected for decades, the Kings is finally undergoing renovations to restore itself to its former glory by 2014.
