Going through the red gates that you can see on a couple of my other photos, you're greeted with this magnificent view of the little castle.
Underneath the French doors on first floor (the same doors that feature further down my photostream) is a statue of Hercules holding up the balcony on his back. The guide book tells us that the balcony and French doors were installed by William Cavendish, who finished the interiors of the little castle in 1621.
I liked this view, the castle being framed by the large, imposing red gates. I think the fisheye effect adds to this framing as well as making more of the scene visible.

This is a photo I took some days ago in a forest close to home, shooting directly into the low afternoon sun. It was taken with my Samyang 8 mm f/2.8 lens at f/11 and I combined two pictures. The first looked like this with a lot more flaring and in the second I blocked out the sun with my hand. I combined them to control the flare a bit so now this one large green pentagon and some smaller flare are left but most of it is gone. I also corrected about 50 % of the distortion of the fisheye effect.
Sunrise over the cliffs of Portknockie in Morayshire, Scotland.
I'm experimenting with stitching of very wide angle images to create a fisheye effect. Not sure what I think of it yet though.
A group of bottles and jars reflected on the side of the orb. So I am getting the photo from the side of the orb this is why it has the fisheye effect on the bottles, also some of the grit that settled on the orb walls showed up and he scratch on the orb over the red bottle.
Somewhat of a fisheye effect here, which I don't like at all. Panoramic stitch taken after sunset from Langarades village above the lake.
I'd had a frustrating day of hospitals and eye drops, and consequent blurry vision, but at last it cleared and i could dash down the coats to try out my new lens. It's a sigma 14-24 , and had arrived yesterday lunchtime. I went to Nash Point for a change, and had a great time as i was the only one on a fresh beach with a dropping tide. The sky was perfect, and I loved the lack of a fisheye effect even at 14mm, so I filled this shot with
sky. Some nights are just magical. It's a very heavy lens, but i'm already loving it. The only thing to annoy me , was a mad drone buzzing all around me . I was hoping it would fall into the sea:) Sea of clouds is by Deer Tick. I'll be off chasing High Brown Fritillaries today.

I wanted to use iPiccy as well, but it isn't working at the moment, or not for me.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

A stitch of 59 photos using Autostitch. I like the false fisheye effect its given it :)
Saturday challenge - Shiny & Macro.
Was trickier than I thought, mainly because of the dust on the bell, and reflections, quite weird, including a sort of fisheye effect, which shows the untidy kitchen, and a bonus (unflattering) selfie :-)

This scene looked fairy tale to me. I added a bit of a fisheye effect and "glow" to enhance that quality. This was taken at a park outside of Tampa, FL.
The water's fine. The fisheye effect gives me the impression that I'm about to trip and fall into the frame.

Visit in airside at T1 Malpensa airport, to admire and photograph the first Boeing 787/9 Dreamliner (EI-NEO) acquired by the Italian company Neos, which were followed in the time three more. The fisheye effect is incorrigible, for safety reasons I have not been able to move further.

Friday afternoon was warm and sunny, so I headed to the beach that is near our apartment complex. I decided to experiment with my fisheye lens mode just to see what would turn out.
This duck's coloration made her very successful in blending in with her setting-I almost walked right by. The fisheye effect is quite pronounced in terms of her head and bill. I thought that the result was kind of interesting. (This is the same female duck found in "Sedately Moving On.)
I'm going to take a quick break from Florida photos to show you this one. I was quite pleased to get this the other day, when our lake thawed unexpectedly and the opportunity for a long exposure presented itself. You will notice a bit of distortion at the frame edges, which I almost like because of the fisheye effect.

Worth viewing large size. I was in two minds as to whether to upload this shot or not. It's the sister image to my previous shot from the Knap. I thought I'd try a more unorthodox composition but can't decide if it works or not! Any feedback , suggestions or comments gratefully received. I've got a nasty feeling it might just be a little tad pretentious ;-)
I took this photo in Zoutkamp, while I was on a Flickr Road Tour. That's a Flickr Meeting and travelling with a bus to some places :)
It was fun!
The photo is a 6 5-exposure-HDR-photos stitched at 10mm, so really wide :)

I like the contrast in profiles in these two, the male upright and the female looking around. I think that the closeness to the photographer reduced the fisheye effect.
Late afternoon sky with clouds and a sunburst. The Tokina 12-28 at 12mm aimed at the sky gives almost a fisheye effect. Five exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Effex Pro 2
On the hour, the tower lights up with hundreds of flashing lights. The 5n and cheapo lens managed well for a 1/13 hand held shot. I left in the extreme barrel distortion - clearly visible at 16mm. I like the almost fisheye effect here
Yes there are a lot of London Underground images on flickr but there is a lot to offer down there. Please look at my Canary Wharf underground images, lots of images on their way..................
This is a seen no distortion added just the fisheye effect.

Moonlighting: This is a seldom photographed arch in a park where the lights no longer shine, lol. It’s a pretty spectacular view looking out from inside the arch, looking out over high desert, canyons, and hills. It’s off the beaten track and you have to hike in or do some serious 4 wheeling to get there. I have not seen any night photos from here previously. To get the whole scene into the image I ended up with a bit of a fisheye effect, but it was taken with a rectilinear lens, a Sony 12-24 mm f/2.8. This is a blend panorama. The foreground was captured with moonlight, and the sky was captured before the moon rose. Foreground was captured at 12 mm and is a complex multiple row multi angle panorama lighted by moonlight. The sky was captured at 21 mm, with separate panoramas for the lower sky and upper sky. The arch is more flat than shown here with the fisheye effect making it look more curved.
Canon 6d + tamron 15-30mm 15mm ISO 6400 x f2.8 x 30s x 50 images panorama using my fish eye sort of panorama style. While it's 50 images - it's only really about 30 images. I had some problems with a new lens and just kept on taking. So quite a few redundant frames in this instance.
I went to Lake Dumbleyung - a salt lake in Western Australia to shoot the milky way. The water level was lower than expected so only took one of the lake itself (may process that one later). I found the thick mud to be an issue as clung to my legs and I sunk more than half a foot into the muddy surface. A bit problematic when you're carrying 2 tripods, camera and a heavy pack when scouting.
Around the lake - there are hundreds of dead trees clutching at the sky - so I visualised with the fisheye effect to have the image framed by them.
I had some stitching issues though - I had to re-stitch one of the frames manually as one of the arms of the milky way initially distorted more than I would like - and a small triangle around the edge had to be filled - I think I've finally worked out how to fix that.
I found this lovely small patch of bluebell carpet in the most messy, entangled, jungle-like part of the local woods near Beckenham, Kent. I liked how the 2 bendy trees on both sides created an almost fisheye effect - perfect for my framing.
Junkyard 1970 Cougar XR7. In case you're wondering why this car doesn't look quite right, the hood is not attached and slid forward about a foot. I positioned the camera so that it lined up with the bumper and fender-tops to hide the illusion and exaggerate the fisheye effect even more. Purple, blue, green and white light from numerous directions, in 51-seconds, under the full moon.
Fisheye view of the Tromso Bibliotek which is quite an impressive building without the fisheye effect. Converted to B & W .

We now have a grass snake in our garden. I was told we did, but I'd never seen it myself. Until the other day when I saw him sunning himself in the unseasonably hot weather. I started out around six feet away, and slowly crept closer and closer. This is not the closest I got, but I loved this photo as I could see my own reflection in his eye. It looks like I'm far away due to the fisheye effect of his eye, but I'm only around 15" from him. Eventually I think I got too close and he could see his own reflection in the lens, and slithered off hissing. We had a good five minutes together though. The closest I've ever gotten to a wild snake.

I kinda like the fisheye effect through the trees on a snowy winters day February 2012. This was taken on one of my favourite cameras the Nikon D700, now long gone now but a super full frame sensor that I found had so much more tolerance than the Nikon D90 that I used previously.
Image info :- Nikon D700 with Nikon 16mm fisheye f/2.8 at F/9, ISO 250, shutter 1/100th processed in Lightroom Classic. (Three shot HDR)

Technical: One Shot Imagine that it is the last frame on a roll of film, and you have to nail it. For this challenge only take one shot. No deleting, no 2nd shot. The honor system is in play.
So one shot, but some processing after to suppress the fisheye effect and ensure the BW conversion. The sky wad deep blue and south (and sun) was on the upper part of the image. This leads to the natural whiter aspect on the top.
