cheating with an old photo, since there is no sun today.

Thanks Bobby. Wish I had a better view to put your quote in front of.

If you look close you can see my reflection in the puddle. I'm wearing one of my favorite "special" pairs of hightop Converse today. I can't wear high tops with skirts or capris, it's too weird! The second wedding anniversary is Canvas, my dear heart special ordered these for me that year -- funny thing is I had bought him the same thing (his fav black hightop Converse). I guess great minds think alike!

I didn't take this. Jason at tranq.com did. I'm just keeping it here for the benefit of the grandsprogs, should there be any.

I am now repurposing this seven year old photo to add to the febphotoaday group. My nine months pregnant self sighs and is thankful to have this kicking around for posterity. We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun.

My view for most of the day was of my desk, my coffee cup, and a pair of headphones.

Words with Friends doesn't think Amy is a word. Silly game...

#33 - #febphotoaday 2 - "Words"

our glorious day of heavy snow in february.

032 - My view today, post lunch workout. I won't like; I'm scared of heights, but I really want to get on the roof of this building.

Can you guess where i was today? Dental Panorama of my teeth in preparation for an implant. I did take the picture, and it is me, so I think it counts!

The sun shining through the trees on my street which was recently paved and decorated with these beautiful new yellow stripes.

Since it was overcast yesterday, I decided to combine Day 8 with Day 9. So, here is a picture of the sun shining on the front passenger door of my Jeep :-) (can't wait for warm weather so we can go topless)

iHands - Wanted to a way to show both left and right. Busy at work.

It's a good thing to have clean clothes. Running around nekkid is usually frowned upon.

your view today

Someone had put up the cover of Time magazine with Mitt Romney’s photo… it looked like later on someone had scrawed “No I Don’t!” in pen on the photo. New Hampshire has a love / hate relationship with politics, and this seemed to capture the kind of violent rhetoric that we keep hearing on the radio.

Just one. Unfortunately, they aren't gluten-free. :(

The door to my happy little house

I only regret you can only eat 7 in one day.

sia_ky: A Few Words on the Soul

by Wislawa Szymborska

translated from the Polish by Stanislaw Baranczak and Clare Cavanagh

We have a soul at times.

No one’s got it non-stop,

for keeps.

Day after day,

year after year

may pass without it.

Sometimes

it will settle for awhile

only in childhood’s fears and raptures.

Sometimes only in astonishment

that we are old.

It rarely lends a hand

in uphill tasks,

like moving furniture,

or lifting luggage,

or going miles in shoes that pinch.

It usually steps out

whenever meat needs chopping

or forms have to be filled.

For every thousand conversations

it participates in one,

if even that,

since it prefers silence.

Just when our body goes from ache to pain,

it slips off-duty.

It’s picky:

it doesn’t like seeing us in crowds,

our hustling for a dubious advantage

and creaky machinations make it sick.

Joy and sorrow

aren’t two different feelings for it.

It attends us

only when the two are joined.

We can count on it

when we’re sure of nothing

and curious about everything.

Among the material objects

it favors clocks with pendulums

and mirrors, which keep on working

even when no one is looking.

It won’t say where it comes from

or when it’s taking off again,

though it’s clearly expecting such questions.

We need it

but apparently

it needs us

for some reason too.

"Something New" felt like a hard one to nail down. It was towards the end of the day that I was reading Keene State's paper, The Equinox, that I noticed it's publish date was today. It felt like a bit of a stretch, but with the day quickly running out I decided that this was going to be it for today.

It's an interesting pressure, this act of creating something every day - of capturing a moment every day that's tied to a theme or an idea. Looking back over this month's photos, it's changed the way I think about the days going by. It's slowed down time, stretched it out in some strange way. Maybe that's one of the reasons that I find this challenge so exciting.

love this one <3
