Full Fathom Five is a sculpture situated on the very edge of Port Marine in Portishead, overlooking the sea, consisting of over a hundred stone pillars set on a large mound of grass. Had a quick stop off there last week on the way down to Burnham-on-sea with Martin Turner.
I hope I'm not mistaken. After studying a topographical map, I believe this body of water is Carlingford Lough. North of the lough (left of photo) is the Mountains of Mourne in Co. Down in Northern Ireland, and south of the lough (right side of photo) is the Cooley Mountains in Co. Louth in Republic of Ireland.
Not the entire land right of the river and lough is Republic of Ireland though. Where I'm standing now, in the hill above Fathom Forest, is actually in Co. Armagh in Northern Ireland also.
Yep, so the Northern Ireland-Republic border pretty much runs through the middle of Carlingford Lough.
The river at the bottom flowing into the lough is Newry River.
Once again I'm very grateful to Neill for driving me up the hill. Without a car, I could have barely made it to Dundalk, Newry or Carlingford on my own, but never the off-beat lookout areas like where we are now. I'm very lucky to have such hospitable and generous friends.
A GS series drone manufactured for data collection and reconnaissance, optimal for underwater missions. Its large "tentacle" is able to collect readings of the surrounding air/water, and its shoulder-mounted propeller delivers the thrust it needs to move quickly and efficiently in an aquatic environment. The drone features two blades for defense, and only uses them when absolutely necessary.
Doesn't get much more flirty than this.
It's rather amusing when out and about with a guy watching the reaction of some people. While in the restaurant, a lady on a table next to us couldn't stop looking. Not sure if she was judging the dress and boobage or trying to work out. Am I woman or aren't I! Followed buy trying to fathom the relationship. When we went outside after for a drink, the same thing was happening again. A large bunch of ladies kept looking at us.
Have to thank Jo for taking this lovely photo.
amazing how a rainstorm and a busted pipe can completely ruin a fun spot.
of course, had to toss a brick just to ruin a perfect reflection. :p
