We read the review of Oakridge Winery Cafe in the Cheap Eats 2006 and decided to give it a shot.

"No booking? Sorry, we're fully booked", was the answer.

Most of my photos were as blurry, because of the low lighting and fast action!

US - Australia Wargames Protest and candlelight vigil - St Pauls Cathedral

Linley Point Reef, Mornington.

Very calm day for a dive.

Decisions, decisions!

The larger abalone are clustered around the green marker, but the sea urchin and fish life are mostly around the left at Linley Point.

Mid-Autumn Moon 中秋月圆, another festival, and another excuse for Chinese to eat!

Well, it's mid-Spring down here, but the moon is the same !:)

First day of Spring and we get an overnight low of 4 degrees! I had to hose off the ice that formed on my windshield, but not before I took a photo of the feather-like patterns on the car roof.

Casio ZR1000 - Raw format converted to JPG with Adobe PE11 (ISO 80)

The soup that should have provided flavour to the silky bean curd was too goopy to be enjoyable.

In Dedication of the journey, i've never been with to, i would like to introduce Bangladesh, as one of the planets poorest countries.

Kananook Creek Reserve at dusk. They built a bridge over Kananook Creek in 2005 (?) and a Sophia's Pizzeria opening not long after.

Another digital camera to add to my collection. Bought this in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

Great spot for a meeting room. Great for industrial espionage!

Ex - my brother-in-law now has it.

Julia at Garden Square where the crowds are watching Lleyton Hewitt vs Juan Ignacio Chela.

€3. has a kind of 'jelly' adhesive that is reusable. Handy to have in the pocket for ultra closeups, and it even just fits over my Casio Exilim's lens for Macro-mode ULTRA closeups!

I stripped out the IR filter to take some 'interesting' photos.

Tako (Octopus) - Tsukiji Market

hmmm... I took a similar photo of octopus when I was last at Tsukiji Market! :)

As the bus came around the corner, I spotted this person with the umbrella. The combination of the lights, the swirling snow and the greyness of the light appealed to me. What with the slow shutter speed in the low light, having to wipe a hole in the condensation on the window - not the mention the movement of the bus itself - it's not exactly sharp! But I like the effect.

I dropped an icicle on my deck and shot it with the Casio Exilim EX-FH100. I had set it at 1000 fps (its maximum framerate) but realized later that the auto shutter speed had clocked in at 1/250. I presume the framerate was actually 250 fps, because I would have really expected to be able to see crack propagation at 1000 fps. I only had one icicle of sufficient size handy so I'll try again another day and manually set the shutter speed at 1/1000.

We only did Duck Walk, Ice Cubes, Martial Arts, Sing-a-Song, Love-shaped Transparency and Sweet Sour Bitter Hot. Not sure why Chicken Dance and Eat the Sweet was left out.
