Escape pod by Andrea Zittel. We stumbled upon the exhibition 'Retreat' in the wonderful and very moist Fort Asperen, during our trip along the Linge river. It turned out to be a very nice sidetrip.

The little bunny was exhausted. He had been kidnapped from his cozy home by little grubby hands that wouldn't stop prodding his belly, stretching his ears, stuffing grass in his face, and worst of all, hold him very tightly to Small Hands' chests. There hadn't been a single moment of rest! But suddenly, the little bunny found himself on the floor. He waited for two minutes, three minutes, for the hands to start their torture again.
But nothing happened.
Bunny tried a few experimental hops. Hmm... nothing seems to be broken. He paused, and sniffed the air. He smelled the Outside. Outside was escape! Outside was freedom! He turned himself towards the smell, where the light was the brightest... and stopped.
Did he dare?

This is the top of a mausoleum (amongst a series of mausoleums built into a hill) under repair. It was EXTREMELY difficult to get this close to photograph it. Creepiness factor was at a 10.
An oldie pulled from my archives.

Concept that my friend Justin came up with. We were testing the shot on my D30 before shooting a final version on film (and with his crazy ass Canon 17-40/4L vs. my Canon 28/2.8).
I was basically the model for his concept.. which is sort of an 'escape' if I understood correctly.
I'm in the shot 3 times. And I popped the flash (keeping my body in the way each time) each time that I stopped.
Can't wait to see his final version!
