My Brother-In-Law and I were on our way back from Bristol, TN Nascar Race yesterday.
We dropped off a friend in Decatur and proceeded to Jasper through Arley, AL.
We were towing a trailer containing our Harley's using a ¾ ton Chevy/Duramax.
We noticed the clouds spinning at an alarming rate, we also seen metallic shiny objects being violently tossed in the cloud.
My Brother -in-law said "that looks like 2 road signs" I said this thing is right on top of us, we put the hammer down and made it just outside of downtown Arley.
We stopped the truck and advised a lady and her daughter get in their storm shelter on the side of Hwy 257.
I shot these 3 pics with a Blackberry. The temperature was cool - then very hot-humid. Really scary.. I will never forget seeing this thing.

This is the last tornado that came through cullman county. We watched it come
down and go back up into the clouds until it finlly came down and just got
bigger and bigger. I live in Holly Pond on county road 773, this is North about
2 or 3 miles from my house towards Bailyton and Faulkville area headed towards
Arab.

Since last Sunday, when Mother died, through the trip to Atlanta, planning the funeral, doing the funeral and burial, and driving back home--I have missed some sleep. In addition, my right knee started hurting Wednesday night.
Today, I went to the Hair Clinic to get my hair fixed. I had even forgotten to call my hairdresser and tell her that I wouldn't make my appointment yesterday, Friday. When I got home from the Hair Clinic, I lay in my lounge chair and slept and slept and slept.
Praise God, my knee is feeling better.
BTW: I really do look like Daddy.
These are all from Cahaba Heights. I hope I'm not too late! I was in 2nd grade at the time. Best time EVER! :)
