A great color idea (and money saver) is to use a round plastic table cover with a plastic elastic table cover over it.
The plastic elastic topper will not allow the wind to blow the cover off.
There are no worries about stained, burnt, or cut linens because they are disposable.

Many of my works - like this one - are produced entirely digitally. I sometimes re-use older works as art elements and also drawing objects - usually rectangles. These are combined together using Serif PagePlus X3.
Next I mesh warp the image and finally photographically over process the image with Paint Shop Pro.

houses, sheds and along tracks.

Admission by Michelle Boulé & Niegel Smith
Dance artist Michelle Boulé and theater director Niegel Smith invite you to unravel the codes of museum engagement as we feel the "NYC 1993" exhibition on a walk through the New Museum. Participants will respond by warming up their senses, stretching their tastes, and singing the chords in surrounding work as we move through the gallery space. We’ll pair up, go it alone, and even gang up a bit. You won’t get caught—smartphones haven’t been invented yet.
This walk holds 14 people and is presented in partnership with the New Museum’s Education Department.

The traditional artist talk is stale and hierarchical, with the artist on a pedestal and the audience as passive recipients. As much as Niegel would love to get heady on theoretical frames and Todd yearns to yap poetic about his Instagram photos, they have decided to take the artist talk in another direction. Talking with, not at. Inviting you along. Over and through the rainbow.
In this talk, participants will grapple with recurring themes from Niegel & Todd’s signature prompts: shedding protective layers (Selfies); granting permission to touch and be touched (Dream State of Affairs); addressing the political through the sculpting of bodies (Monumental Walk and Favorites); and constructing a language all one’s own (so you’re one of them now).
This talk holds 24 people and is co-presented with Pratt Institute MFA in Writing. It will be held in English but Todd also speaks Spanish.

www.elastic-city.org/walks/concrete-jungle-gym
When my child was small, I spent a lot of time at the playground. I’d be on my phone and chatting with other adults—trying to make the time go faster. Anything to avoid being present in the moment. But once in a while, I'd look up, join my kid in play, and be transported back to the sensations of being young and flying on a swing, balancing on a beam and swooping down a slide.
On Concrete Jungle Gym participants will meet at a Brooklyn playground and re-discover how our bodies can give voice to our current state of play in concert with the structures there. The group will climb, jump and improvise--working intuitively with these tools to build a participatory choreography. A playground dance. From there, we'll take it to the streets, with its signposts, trees and stoops as props for a new group composition. No previous movement experience necessary.
This walk holds 12 people.

www.elastic-city.org/ways/catastrophe
In the midst of 2012, Catastrophe! proposes an experience of regeneration, a process to mourn the world we leave behind as we situate ourselves in the awaking of a new era. By entering an underground shelter we will initiate the transit to another time, like human seeds waiting to germinate.
By moving their bodies rhythmically in the mode of ritual and by activating the fetish power of food, totems, sound and image, participants will engage the senses and re-shape our imaginations of how humans might interact and inhabit the world. Through a series of activities, they will explore the many myths that have narrated the end of the world. Together, they will generate a new story.
This way holds 10 people and presented in partnership with the Consulate General of Spain in New York.
