Jim Kelly adjusting some of his effect controls. Jim Kelly's Thrillseekers, Platinum Lounge, Lismore Workers Club. 20 August 2013
For Squadron 13 II. I drained the color out for all of the shot's involving Grievous… I wanted to make the atmosphere seem lifeless.
This is the unaltered, unsharpened file as opened in camera raw, with just the auto corrections applied.
One of the patrons where I play pool started riding this Softail recently. I happened to be outside yakking on the phone one sunny Sunday afternoon when I realized this might make a decent photo opportunity. Unfortunately, the colors all blended together a bit too much for my taste.

This is a pre-effects Blue Sceen shot, Outtake. Gene Roddenberry had The anderson Compay to do all special effects for the show, including phasers, Space footage, ( Notice they also did the effects for The Invaders ) The Shuttlecraft footage was done the same way, as you see it here..

The weather did not cooperate with an outdoor photo walk today. So here is my creative play for the day - I downloaded the trial version of Snap Art 3 by AlienSkin software. The top left is the original photo: top right is oil paint; bottom left is abstract watercolor; bottom right is crayon. To my eye, these are fairly realistic painting effects. Fun to play with.
