I actually saw more mailbox stands like this around Mississippi while on Hurricane duty- notice the storm debris behind it. This was in the town of Petal, Mississippi, just outside of Hattiesburg.

The first drillbit suddently broke and damaged some wood near the plug. I hope it won't show too much after the finish.

Found a really unique-looking icicle on a maple tree in my back yard today. I was actually wanting to test out the telephoto ability of my new 100mm f/2.8 Macro, but I couldn't find a squirrel or a bird anywhere if I wanted to. This particular shot of the icicle looks a lot like a forged-steel drill-bit. This is essentially SOOC too, which is nifty.

The bit goes on the end of the augering pipe. The bit diameter is a little under 4”. As the material is scraped and loosened by the bit, the augering pipe transports the loosened material to the ground surface where it is shoveled away by a person. The loose dirt removed from the hole is kept in a pile and used to refill the hole when we are done. The bit is hollow in the middle because to extract “relatively” undisturbed samples we use a smaller diameter pipe that goes through the center of the auger pipe to where we stopped drilling with the bit. We use a smaller (2”) diameter pipe with an open end and push material into a collection the tube. Once our samples are collected, we continue to auger using through the sample region. We then repeat the process in 5’ (1.4 m) increments.

....and that's about all I can say about it.

BAD 16: Made from a stone sent to me by Annette during RAD, with drillbit nose made while attempting to drill a hole. The second attempt worked, luckily, allowing me to attach a wire to make it a stickpin.

Old tools are a common sight. Most are reasonable as far as price goes, but there are exceptions to every rule.

I like this one because the face shes making, mixed with the scenery, makes the photo seem much darker.

Drill bit. T189ers photo-a-week 2011 Theme 'Spiral'.

I did some more test shots today using my 20d my flash and a home made snoot. I like the vignette that the snoot creates although it is hard to aim the flash on the subject.

The shadow is almost more intresting than the bit itself.

A massive road drill bit detail which I spotted while passing by some road works in Bosnia. It reminds me of one of the robots from one of the sci-fi films, but cannot remember which one.

We all knew that content is the king for all documents, websites and E- books etc., As it plays a vital role, it should be unique and different and it is very essential to check for plagiarism. The drill bit is software which is specially designed excellent software to detect those similar contents or texts irrespective of its size. Thus copied or duplicate content can be identified in a fraction of seconds using Drill bit software.

I spent 2 days cleaning and restoring them as best I could before returning to Sarasota, FL.
