I like parades. I like fun fairs. These are ocassions or places that you can take people portraits or candids freely.
Everybody else is taking pictures and nobody will notice what you are doing.
You will think fun fairs are for kids and their parents. Some big guys will enjoy it too!

I like his AC/DC T-shirt and his expression. This is probably my favorite candid I took in PNE this year.
I'm a rockhound, we explore ("hunt" ) areas of interest looking for fossils, unique stones, gems, petrified wood, Native American projectile points, etc
A tiny representation of my "pickers." Each one was individually chosen and snatched up off the ground for an up-close eyeballing because it stood out to me in some way. The characteristics that determine whether a rock makes the team or is dropped, are many, mostly subjective, and sometimes immature. Some rocks hold an appeal that I find myself unable to qualify; but those too, are palmed and dropped into my pocket with the simple justification of a child; because I just liked it.

Day 5 and before I flew back there was a visit to the Flower Market just to get some flower photos.
The Heineken Experience brewery tour was then done and involved some morning drinking.
Final place was spent people watching in Dam Square.
To summarise, it was a really enjoyable few days. First time I have gone away on my own. You can do Amsterdam in about 3.5 days unless you need to partake in some of the slightly seedy parts of the city.
