But this was a magical place full of treasure. Loose lips sank this ship tho and it is now sealed for everyone.

I don't think I'd seen the church and this part of the green from this angle. I think it gives a hint of what it must have looked like in the past before the taxis. It reminds me of Romsey in Hampshire.
For anyone who doesnt know London, the "surprise" about this shot is that this is a very built up and developed area. It is historic but in London the history isnt usually up front.
The building to the left is the Karl Marx memorial library.
Grade II* listed
Anglican church. 1788-92 by James Carr; steeple rebuilt 1849;
restored by Reginald Blomfield 1882. Multi-coloured brick set
in Flemish bond with Portland stone dressings, roof of Welsh
slate. Chancel, nave, porch and vestibules under a single
roof, tower and spire over the pedimented west gable. The east
end has crypt windows and two levels above, all with plain
stone architraves, the crypt and lower level segmental-arched,
the upper level round-arched; central east window round-arched
with gauged brick head and inset Palladian motif; shallow
segmental-arched window to pedimented gable. The south side
has slightly projecting outer bays with chamfered quoins and
balustrated parapet: each bay has a flat-arched entrance
flanked by Roman Doric columns carrying triglyph frieze,
mutule cornice and pediment, that to the east blocked, that to
the west with panelled door of original design; the entrance
as a whole recessed under a round arch of gauged brick with
double keystone; above each entrance a round-arched window
with broad plain stone surround, recessed under a round arch
of gauged brick; between the bays four windows to three levels
detailed as for the east end; a modillion cornice runs the
full length of the south side; parapet. The north side is
detailed like the east end but with no enrichment and
two-storey parish hall attached under a separate roof. The
west end has a centrepiece under the tower faced with Portland
stone, with brick wings to either side detailed as for east
end; central flat-arched entrance set back under a round arch
with Gibbs surround; round-arched window above set back twice
under round arches and once under a flat arch, with balustrade
and impost bands; round-arched niches to either side with
blank recessed panels above them; modillion cornice and
pediment. The tower is square in plan at the clock and bell
stages, the latter with round-arched louvred openings with
central mullion, imposts, archivolt and keystone; paired
pilasters at each corner; balustraded parapet with urns at
each corner, and then three octagonal stages, the first and
principal having an arcaded order; octagonal spire with ball
finial. Railings to steps to both south entrances with
wreathed handrail and columnar balusters.
INTERIOR: : the body of the church is a single space curved at
the west end. Reredos with pilasters and engaged columns,
triglyph frieze, mutule cornice and central pediment; the
panels of the reredos and two side wall panels painted with
texts in the C19 or early C20; panelled dado to side walls.
Gallery carried on Doric columns, stepped and curved at the
west end; upper galleries flanking the organ at the west end,
of 1822, carried on cast-iron columns with iron balconies.
Architrave and cornice with palmette and guilloche ornament.
Plasterwork decoration to the ceiling in the form of circular
and oval panels with bay leaf and Vitruvian scroll ornament.
Late C18 communion rail with wrought iron ornament; fine organ
with Spanish mahogany case, 1792 by George Pike England,
restored in 1978; east window by Heaton, Butler and Bayne,
1863; wall tablet to Elizabeth, Countess Dowager of Exeter, at
east end of south aisle, 1653. The porch rooms and vestibules
all have architraves, panelled doors and panelled dadoes;
staircase to main gallery has panelled dado, wreathed rail,
open string and metal stick balusters; the stairs to the upper
gallery have wreathed rail, open string and metal irontwist
balusters. There are important wall monuments from the earlier
church of St James in the porch: that to Thomas Crosse, c.1712
in the south porch is a plain tomb chest carrying paired
Corinthian pilasters with busts in front on scrolled consoles,
and between them an inscription panel; above that an armorial
cartouche with floral garlands set within a broken pediment;
that to Gilbert Burnet, also in the south porch, c.1715 by R.
Hartshorne, has pilasters flanking the panel with emblems of
learning under a broken and open pediment; in the north porch,
monument to Elizabeth Partridge of c.1702, cartouche with
bust, weeping putti and death's head. The church's C18
interior has survived in an unusually unaltered state. C19 and
C20 glass includes large Ascension East end (Heaton, Butler
and Bayne, 1863) and the Rose memorial window (North aisle,
1899, by Curtis, Ward and Hughes).

Tiraf Quat, 8, is out of school because his school doesnt have chairs. he says he used to learn and play with his friends in the school but now he is sad as he can not go there any more as his school chairs are damaged and will not be able to go to school. his favorite subject is enviromental science as it teaches him how to stay clean and healthy. Doesnt look much but the Crofters in Rosemarkie is an excellent local Cafe & Bistro restaurant. The food is to die for and it serves locally crafted Real Ale sourced from Cromarty. I can highly recommend.
Not really a pub, but a bistro / cafe, and alcohol can only be bought with a meal. Good place to go after watching the dolphins and seals at Chanonry Point, or maybe from the dining table! Popular with locals,
Doesnt gromit look sweet here?
My late mother used to sing a lullaby for me as a baby. It was "True Love" from the film High Society and sung by Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly (who became Princess Grace of Monaco after marrying Prince Rainier)
So now..."True Love" is Gromits lullaby.
Because who doesnt love standing between two fabulous creatures!?!

We recieved a baseball cap as a gift.
it doesnt matter why i was there. air steril, sheets stained. doesnt matter that i was hooked up to a thing that buzzed and beeped everytime my heart leaped like a man whos faith tells him gods hands are big enough to catch an airplane, or a world.
doesnt matter i was curled up like a fist, protesting death with every breath through hard labour, hard time.
doesnt matter, because my hospital roommate wore dinosaur pajamas. hes nine years old.
his name is klemens.
i dont have to ask what hes got. the bald head with the skin and bone frame speaks volumes. the gameboy and the feather pillows trying to make him feel at home, because hes going to be here a while.
i meant to smile the first time i saw him but it felt like the biggest lie i ever told so i hold my breath, because im thinking any minute now hes gonna call me on it.
but my fear subsides, the moment i realise klemens is all show and tell.
hes got everything from a shotgun shell to a crows foot, and he can put them all in context.
like see, this is from a shooting range, and see, this is from a weird girl.
i watch his hands curl around a cuffling and i realise that ever nick nack is a treasure and every treasure has got a stor, and everytime i think i can handle more he hits me with another story.
see this is from my mother, see this is from my father, see this is from my brother, see that is from that weird girl.
took me about two days to realise that, that weird girl, is his sister. took him about two hours after she left to figure out that he missed her.
they visit every day and stay well past visiting hours, because for them, that term doesnt apply.
when they do leave, klemens and i are left alone and he says: the worst part about being sick is that you get all the free ice cream you ask for. and the worst
part about that is realising that theres nothing else they can do for you.
theres no easy way of asking, i already know what hes gonna say, maybe he just needs to say it, so i ask him anyway:
are you scared?
klemens doesnt even lower his voice when he says" fuck yeah".
i listen to a nine year old boy say the word "fuck", like it was a 30 year old man with a nose bleed being lowered into a shark tank, hes got a right to it. and if it takes this kid a curse word to help him get through this, then i wanna teach him to swear like the devil himself is sitting there taking notes with a pen and and pad but before i can forget that klemens is nine years old he says: "please dont tell my dad"
he asked me if i believed in angels. and before i realise i dont have the heart to tell him, i tell him: "not lately."
and i just lay there waiting for him to hate me, but he doesnt know how to, so he never does. klemens loves like a man who lived in the time before god gave religion to man and let them figure out what hate was.
and he greets me with silence, only smiles in a patience ive never seen in someone who knows theyre dying.
ive been with him for 5 days, and all i really know is that klemens loves to pull feathers out of his pillow and watch them float to the ground, almost as if hes the philosopher inside the scientist ready to say:
"its gravity, thats been getting us down."
the truth is, theres not enough miracles to go round, kid and theres too many people petitioning god for the winning lotto ticket, and for every answered prayer, theres a cricket with arthritis and the only reason we cant find answers?
is because the search party didnt invite us.
so we must meet silence, with the same level of noise that the parents of dying nine year old boys make when the take liberties in talking with heaven, we must shout. until we shatter in our own vibrations.
so we know that as far as our efforts go, we dont always get a reply. but i swear to god, for the time ive got left, im gonna remember you kid.
im gonna tell your stories as often as you told me and everytime i tell it ill say :
"see, theres bravery in this world! theres 6.5 billion people curled up like fists protesting death, but every breath we take has to be given back, a nine year old boy taught me that."
so hold your breath.
the same way youd hold a pen when writing thank you letters to every tree that gave you that breath to hold.
then let it go.
as if you understand something about getting old and having to give back.
let it go like a laugh attack in the middle of really good sex. the black eye will be worth it.
because what is your night worth without a story to tell?
like i accept any challenge so challenge me! like i brought a knife to this gun fight but yesterday i mugged a mountain, so bring that shit, ive got practice!
klemens and i cracked this world wide open, found the prize inside and never lied to ourselves, never told ourselves it would be easy or not demanding, never dreamt of anyone ever handing us anything, so we sing in our own vibrations.
so gods hands take their time to catch you.
because even if the doesnt, it wasnt because we didnt try.
i dont often believe in angels. but the day i left, klemens pulled feather out of his pillow and said: this is for you.
i expected him to say:
"see, this is the first one i grew"

Factory Joe has posted Flock browser screen shots!
Two different products that are both cans of blue. They are mostly bfacekilla fuel, as termie prefers "red". Other people in our office are coffee fiends.
It is interesting for me coming from Canada where we have different caffeine restrictions. I do have to get back on the fitness train -- bfacekilla and bart are great role models in this regard.

Doesnt spot it, doesnt lift a finger to clean it, moans at the prospect of moving a rock to make the sitter better, gets given the exact beta, eventually manages it. ratches in his bag for his biggest trumpet and toots hard on Instasham, todays modern boulderer.... at least he drove me there and burnt me off on all the rockovers.

Nav (nine) ratri (nights) - is celebrated for nine days at a stretch and it ends on the tenth day which is celebrated as Dusherra.
i am particularly looking forward to shooting the Goddess this year. i hope i get to do it in the middle of the University exams!
