Sasa doesnt like the camera. So ironic since her owner is a photographer. The only way to get her to look at the camera is when you stand next to her, facing the camera together. Sasa looks only when it's selfie...

Ok, so this is my first diptych. I know it doesnt work but i dont care. Its meant to have meaning. Its not meant to look good.

So ive been feeling really strange the last few weeks, ive been changing a lot lately, & i believe for the better. I feel like im finally growing up (mentally ;] )

This picture came about today. We wandered round town, to the same shops, ate the same food, drank the same things, walked the same roads, saw the same people, said the same things.

Later on i was sitting in Starbucks in the same seat as usual, doing the same thing as usual (commentary on all the people walking past :p).

Its been peeing it down all day, we got completely soaked, people gathered under awnings & in shops waiting for the next dry period so they could run to the next shop to hide in again. I watched as 2 pigeons circled above then took a crap on the same spot as usual.

Its all so bloody similar, im not getting anything new from life. Ive fallen into a depressingly similar routine & although some elements are great, the people mostly, i feel like i could be doing so much more with my life. We only have one so why waste it stuck in a dreary second rate town?

I see many people who i used to go to school with getting pregnant or getting married at such a young age & they're happy with that & i praise those people who can just accept life as it is but i want more than that, i dont want to be tied to one place or one person, at least not for a long time yet.

I want to travel, i want to move to the city, i want to be so much more than i am at the moment & i know it may seem very selfish but surely im not the only person who feels the same way?

Ill probably get moaned at for saying this, ive already had a massive debate with someone about it but education has been such a waste of time for me. Being forced to go to school from 9-3:30 most days for so many years. & then when you get home you've got loads of homework & coursework to do. All that time spent on subjects i dont even care about, when am I going to need to know how to split an atom or do stupidly complex algebra or what all of the parts of a plant do... i dont need it & by the age of around 13 i knew i wanted nothing to do with it. But of course i was forced as everyone is, to learn it. It was only when i got into 6th form & i had a lot more free time that i started to explore exactly with i wanted to do & i feel like my entire life up until now has been wasted when i could've been learning what i wanted & exploring truly who i wanted to be.

The map in the lower part of the image was one of the first ever maps of the world produced. It was first engraved on a wall in Antwerp in 1536. Its not quite the world we see today but it means a lot. To me it represents exploration & change. Something that i most definitely want in life.

Day 46.

Doesnt get much better than Sarasota at sunset. Sunset in Sarasota makes it difficult to leave.

It doesnt rain much where I live but the last couple of days its been coming down really good! I want to go walking in it, but nobody will go with me.

..doesnt kill.

Well certainly not me, cause Im just taking pics. :D

The number plate doesnt actually mean or stand for anything to do with it's owners or the garage, and I'm not entirely sure how they came to own it. Before the Rav, it was on an old Jag XJ6, and I've seen pictures from the 80s of it on a series 2/3 Land Rover.

Aside from my own car, this is what I use the most. Mainly on short, local journeys, I've done loads of miles in this over the last 4 years, it's not the nicest car to drive if I'm honest, but it is a good solid car. Now on 135,000 miles, I think it had about 110k on it when I first met it.

(doesnt look like jade in this photo...

This show's how the material doesnt go away like normal contrail's , but instead slowly grow's larger and larger until finally it appear's to be a normal thick cloud. this chemtrail is about a half hour old. Please study this subject for yourself and come to your own conclusion. And If you know someone that fly's 1 of these plains, ask question's and share info. And start looking up.... chemtrails are reported to be a worldwide appearance

A short introduction to "Chemtrails":

In August 1996 the US Air Force produced a strategy document called "Owning the Weather".

A small citation out of Chapter 2 called Why Would We Want to Mess with the Weather?

"A global, precise, real-time, robust, systematic weather-modification capability would provide war-fighting CINCs with a powerful force multiplier to achieve military objectives. Since weather will be common to all possible futures, a weather-modification capability would be universally applicable and have utility across the entire spectrum of conflict. The capability of influencing the weather even on a small scale could change it from a force degrader to a force multiplier".

In 1999 Clifford E. Carnicom (A geologist & scientist who worked for the federal government for 15 years) starts to investigate what the content is of the Chemical Aerosols the Sky Spiders (Codename of this project) are spraying in New Mexico. The Air Force uses Boeing KC-135 tanker planes. Later people in other countries see and experience the effects of the Sky Spiders.

On of his statements "The conclusion to be reached from this study is that the microscopic air particle count in the state of New Mexico in 1999 is significantly different from that of the preceding three years, and that this difference is directly correlated with the observations of aerial spraying that have taken place during this same time period".

Congressman Denis Kucinich lists the word "chemtrails" on an official document of congress and lists it as an "exotic weapons system". This is the ultimate proof that the chemtrails do exist and that the term is not a hoax.

Sometimes information is "leaked" by an Official of the Air Force. "there are aerial spraying experiments. One involves aluminium oxide spraying related to global warming and the other involves barium stearate and has to do with high-tech military communications". The High-Tech experiment is often related to the HAARP-project.

www.layinstitute.org/src/subcategory.asp?catid=7&subc... (What is the "Secret Purpose" of HAARP).

Until today the spraying of chemicals is going on and on. They influence the weather and other things. Perhaps they influence your mind and they certainly influence your health and nature. The strange cloud patterns that are produced by the airplanes are called Chemtrails.

The Air Force describes the chemtrail theory as a "hoax" and the chemtrails are added to the long list of so called conspiracy theories. The explanation of the Air Force is simple. The trails are produced by "normal" airplanes or are "normal cloud formations".

Please note - this is not a theory, it defies the laws of physics and atmospheric science. Please do your own research and draw your own conclusions.

OK! now on to more important matters. Morgans pulled off the bragable pickup of the fantasy NBA season. DAVID FUCKING LEE WENT CENTER ELIGIBLE! I had Lee last year and was the Great White Hope on my roster, he made me like watching Billy Donavan and the Gators ...I hate Florida! Seriously, Lee is the only thing I like about the Knicks. They are so bad I think Ryand I could make their roster and contribute. Oh, and Iscraac what the shit is this all about???? "praunce: oh whatever i hate fantsay"

Morgan is going to give me your moms number. I gotta tell her she done raised you wrong. If I had the time Id fly to GR pee on your bed and MJ(duece) in the tank of your Toilet. Yes... I am angry write now.

Sometimes climbing mountains doesnt work... On this occasion we were actually aiming to reach the waterfalls on the side of the Remarkables, but found theme to be completely inaccessible. Unless of course we were willing to scale cliffs with an insane ammount of safety equipment.

So, Matthew and I decided to go downstream and see what we could find. After a spot of 'bush-bashing' (this means one uses brute force and ignorance to battle his way through fauna and flora...) I found this tranquil little creek, flowing down from the mountainside into the lake.

I was drawn to the moss on the riverside, and the wonderful tones that were just visible under the surface.

As per usual I had to watch the saturation of the greens and yellow, careful to aviod that electric tone that can sneak in so easily.

I love the effect of slower shutter speeds on water movement, its probibly one of my faviority things to photograph. Particularly when there is so much detail to be found in shallow waters...

U.S. will limit Covid vaccines to high-risk people this fall if Congress doesn't approve more funding

KEY POINTS

▫️The White House has warned that it does not have enough money to buy next-generation Covid vaccines for all Americans ahead of a possible fall infection wave.

▫️If Congress fails to pass additional funding, the U.S. will have to limit the updated Covid shots to individuals at the highest risk of severe disease, a senior administration official said.

▫️Pfizer and Moderna are developing shots that target the mutations of the omicron variant to boost protection against infection.

The U.S. will have to limit the next generation of Covid vaccines this fall to individuals at the highest risk of getting seriously sick from the virus if Congress fails to approve funding to purchase the new shots, according to a senior Biden administration official.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, warned the U.S. faces a substantial surge of Covid infections this fall as immunity from the current vaccines wanes and the omicron variant mutates into more transmissible subvariants. The U.S. needs more money for next-generation vaccines, therapeutics and tests to prevent infections from turning into hospitalizations and deaths, the official said.

Pfizer and Moderna are developing redesigned vaccines that target the omicron variant's mutations to boost protection against infection. The current shots are still targeting the original virus strain that first emerged in Wuhan, China, in 2019. As the virus has evolved over the past two years, the vaccines have become less effective at preventing mild illness, though they generally still protect against severe disease.

The Food and Drug Administration is expected to make a decision by early summer at the latest on whether the U.S. should switch to the redesigned shots for a fall vaccination campaign, with its advisory committee set to hold a meeting on June 28 to discuss the issue.

However, the U.S. currently does not have enough money to purchase the new shots for everybody in the U.S. ahead of the fall, the official said. The U.S. Senate has failed so far to pass $10 billion in additional Covid funding for vaccines, therapeutics and testing despite Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Sen Mitt Romney, R-Utah, striking a deal in early April. The $10 billion Senate deal is less than half the $22.5 billion the White House originally requested.

"We will be able to get some vaccines of the new generation but it'll be a very limited amount and really only for the highest-risk individuals, but it will not be available for everybody," the official said. The elderly and people with weak immune systems are the highest risk of severe illness from Covid.

Congress needs to pass funding within the next few weeks to ensure that contract negotiations between the federal government and the vaccine makers are in an advanced stage by July, the official said. However, Republicans in the Senate have vowed to block the money unless the White House reinstates Title 42, which allowed the U.S. to turn away asylum seekers at the nation's borders during the pandemic.

Even if the money comes through, it's unclear if the vaccine makers can produce enough shots for the fall given how short the timeline is. Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel told CNBC last week it's a tight turnaround for any biotech company to have tens of millions of doses ready for the fall if they don't order supplies and start production before July

"If you look at the timelines, I don't think any manufacturer will be able to be ready in August to fill the channel with product," Bancel told CNBC's Meg Tirrell. The U.S. government's last contract for Covid vaccines with Moderna ended in April.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla told CNBC last week that the pharmaceutical giant would be ready to start manufacturing doses of its next-generation vaccine as soon as it receives guidance from the FDA.

The U.S. also needs more money for testing to ensure that the nation has enough capacity for the fall, the administration official said, warning that domestic manufacturers are shutting down production lines now. Without funding, the U.S. would be dependent on test manufacturers in other nations, particularly China, the official said.

"It's going to be a pretty tough fall and winter if Congress abdicates its responsibilities and does not show up with funding for the American people," the official said. "We're going to do what we can but at the end of the day, our hands are going to be tied."

COVID end could cost Medicaid coverage for up to 14 million Americans

Millions of Americans who gained Medicaid health insurance during the COVID-19 pandemic could lose coverage this year or next year when generous federal subsidies end, a new analysis has found.

Kaiser Family Foundation estimates 5 million to 14 million Americans could lose Medicaid when states begin to unwind coverage after the Biden administration declares the COVID-19 public health emergency is over.

The federal government provided billions in federal aid to states on the condition that they would not remove people from Medicaid until the public health emergency ends. The temporary measure to ensure Americans didn't lose coverage during the pandemic has extended more than two years. Kaiser projects sign-ups for full and partial Medicaid coverage will have swollen by 25% to 110 million by September's end.

It's been a lucrative deal for states. States have collected more than $100 billion in Medicaid funds and fiscal relief over the past three fiscal years while spending a projected $47 billion to cover the pandemic Medicaid enrollees.

But the enhanced federal funding will cease during the quarter in which the public health emergency ends. The federal government will still pay a portion of the Medicaid tab for enrollees, but the federal match won't be as generous. So some states might prioritize quick eligibility checks to ensure only those who still fully qualify continue in the program.

It's a date state Medicaid administrators and health policy experts are closely watching.

The public health emergency is scheduled to end July 15, but every time a deadline has approached the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has extended it another 90 days. HHS officials have said the administration will notify states 60 days before ending the emergency – which means the notification would need to come next week if the Biden administration intends to end the emergency in July.

When the emergency ends, state Medicaid agencies will have 12 months to check the eligibility of every person and notify those who no longer qualify.

People normally churn on and off Medicaid rolls when they gain or lose a job or family circumstances change. Many states are now checking mailing addresses and phone contacts of members to ensure they can quickly reach them when eligibility checks resume.

Enrollment experts encourage recipients to be prepared for and respond to mailings from state agencies to ensure their coverage is not improperly dropped. Others must brace for the possibility they will no longer qualify and will lose coverage. In such cases, enrollment experts can inform people about other coverage options such as the Affordable Care Act marketplace.

"That churn might happen again," said Robin Rudowitz, Kaiser Family Foundation's director for the program on Medicaid and the uninsured. "We know a lot of people may face barriers or red tape in terms of being able to maintain coverage, even if they're eligible."

The Kaiser report said populations most likely to lose coverage include adults who gained Medicaid eligibility under the Affordable Care Act, parents who are not disabled and some children.

Rudowitz said experts also will be tracking whether more people become uninsured after the eligibility checks resume. The number of uninsured Americans dropped to 8.8% at the end of 2021 as millions gained Medicaid coverage and the American Rescue Plan Act offered more generous Affordable Care Act marketplace subsidies that lowered premiums for many.

That could change when states resume eligibility checks and disenroll Americans.

"We'll be watching is to see what happens with overall coverage and if there's an uptick in the uninsured rate," Rudowitz said.

Heavies heaven. Woodhead.

It doesnt happen very often but a gloriously sunny, clear and warm day over Woodhead bathed the fabulous scenery ... too good to resist.

Been over many times to and from Barnsley etc, today was the day we photographed it!

A constant stream of mainly artics in both directions including a surprising percentage of continentals, a honk, wave or lights flash from many of the drivers, well ... heres a selection, enjoy.

Missing, no peewits or indeed any bird noise at all, nor any sheep. Complete silence in between tranches of traffic.

Present ....sadly the idyllic scenery was marred by the huge amount of rubbish ranging from bottles, cans, binbags of rubbish, a car seat and even a bathroom sink and cistern, dumped at the roadside by those that think it is acceptable not to dispose of their rubbish properly ......
