Hizmet Relief distributes hot meals in Haiti after the earthquake.
Hizmet Relief sent 119 volunteers to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Hizmet Relief was the first organization to distribute food after the earthquake. Volunteers distributed hot meals to 1000 people each day for 30 days. Because of the earthquake many people were left homeless. Hizmet Relief distributed tents, blankets and clothes.
15 doctors attended this vital campaign and gave medical help to the injured. Hizmet Relief strongly believes that the impact moment is the time when the help is most needed but in order to help people in need for a long duration of time futuristic projects should be brought to life. Hizmet Relief and Kimse Yok Mu built a medical clinic. The clinic is planned to be in operation in the next year.
The Common Kingfisher is widely distributed over Europe, Asia, and North Africa, mainly south of 60oN. It is a common breeding species over much of its vast Eurasian range, but in North Africa it is mainly a winter visitor, although it is a scarce breeding resident in coastal Morocco and Tunisia. In temperate regions it this kingfisher inhabits clear, slow-flowing streams and rivers, and lakes with well-vegetated banks. It frequents scrubs and bushes with overhanging branches close to shallow open water in which it hunts. In winter it is more coastal, often feeding in estuaries or harbours and along rocky seashores. Tropical populations are found by slow-flowing rivers, in mangrove creeks and in swamps.
Common Kingfishers are important members of ecosystems and good indicators of freshwater community health. The highest densities of breeding birds are found in habitats with clear water, which permits optimal prey visibility, and trees or shrubs on the banks. These habitats have also the highest quality of water, so the presence of this bird confirms the standard of the water. Measures to improve water flow can disrupt this habitat, and in particular, the replacement of natural banks by artificial confinement greatly reduces the populations of fish, amphibians and aquatic reptiles, and waterside birds are lost.
This species is resident in areas where the climate is mild year-round, but must migrate after breeding from regions with prolonged freezing conditions in winter. Most birds winter within the southern parts of the breeding range, but smaller numbers cross the Mediterranean into Africa or travel over the mountains of Malaysia into Southeast Asia. Kingfishers migrate mainly at night, and some Siberian breeders must travel at least 3,000 km (1,800 mi) between the breeding sites and the wintering areas.

Plan has distributed hygiene kits, dry-food rations, shelter kits and mosquito nets to some 30,000 people whose lives have been impacted by the devastating flooding in Cambodia.
Monsoon rains have caused extensive flooding across 18 of Cambodia’s 24 provinces. In Siem Reap, one of Plan Cambodia’s programming areas, all 12 districts have been affected, including 10,000 families with 21,500 children. At least 33 kilometres of roads, 62 schools, 12,000 water wells, 19,111 hectares of rice paddy and 1,616 hectares of other agricultural products are now flooded in the province.
The Upper Jurassic Morrison Formation is widely distributed in many western American states. The unit consists of fluvial (river/floodplain) and lacustrine (lake) deposits. Dinosaur bones and dinosaur tracks are moderately common in Morrison Formation sediments. Exceptionally dinosaur-rich localities include Como Bluff in Wyoming, Dinosaur National Monument in Utah, Dinosaur Ridge in Colorado, and the Cleveland-Lloyd Quarry in Utah.
Seen here is the famous Carnegie Quarry Sandstone, a horizon in the Morrison Formation that yields an abundance of dinosaur bones. The matrix ranges from sandstone to pebbly sandstone to granulestone to almost a conglomerate, but the pebbles are dominantly angular to subangular in shape. Many granules and pebbles are composed of dark-colored chert. The light gray areas are mudshale clasts.

Monareliefye.org has distributed today 200 school bags to orphan and IDPs students in al-Mutnabi and al-Manar schools in Wadi Ahmed area in the capital Sana'a.
Our project was funded by an anonymous Kuwaiti donor along with the NGO’s online fund-raising campaign.
The two schools are located at Wadi Ahmed area, the most populated area in the capital Sana'a with almost 100,000 people there. Most families are poor and they can't get their food easily. The area also full of IDPs fled from many provinces in the country due to the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
IDPs chose to live in this area because the cost of rent for houses there is a little bit low comparing to houses in other areas in Sana'a.
Mona Relief's ground crew decided to deliver pupils there school bags due to the situation of their families who they are not able to buy them, bags, notebooks, pens or anything.
Most families there are under the poverty line and they can't provide their children daily food.
As we started distribution school bags to pupils in al-Manar and al-Mutnabi schools, we noticed that each class contains from 80-130 students comparing to the other schools in the capital Sana'a. However, the reason behind that is that there is only two schools in that area which are very close to all students living within.
The huge number of students in the Wadi Ahmed area reflects the suffer of students in each class. We have seen students keep standing all time of his studying day, some other sitting on the ground as others sitting on windows of their classes. Even if there is empty classes, there is enough chairs for all students and if there is chairs and classes, there is a lack of teachers to learn them.
Pictures here taken today by Mona Relief during school bags distribution showing you the real situation of education and students in Wadi Ahmed area in the capital Sana'a.
Facts about education in Yemen
Millions of children out of school and scores of teachers unpaid - At least two million children, nearly 27 per cent of school-age children are out of school, according to UNICEF. More than 1,690 schools are currently unfit for use due to conflict-related damage, hosting of IDPs or occupation by armed groups. About 2.3 million children need support to access education, including 1.1 million in areas that are acutely affected by conflict. Months of unpaid salaries have aggravated matters. More than 166,000 teachers have had problems receiving their salaries since October 2016 - about 73 per cent of the total number of teachers in Yemen.
