Infrared Series

I took this picture of the Fair Oaks Bridge while hiking the trails near Sacramento CA.

Also built for LetsBuildDistorted on IG.

This is a smaller version of my cube build from early 2024. The original cube was 24x24x24 studs all white with colourful mosaics on all sides. This one is 14x14x14 studs with a colourful base and the same white mosaic on each side.

Day 260 [9-16-2016]

Black and white. My photos for the day represent how I feel. They always kind of do but today more than ever. I am tired, lonely, and trapped. It isn't shocking to feel that way in my situation but it still sucks. I need to get out before I go crazy.

I can't wait to see what the next day brings!

Sony α NEX-6 | Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS

This lens distorts like crazy at 16mm, which I suppose is a price to pay for its compact size. However, I thought it kind of suited this shot, so I decided against using the distortion correction in the lens profile. I also went crazy with the sliders in my RAW editor, which is something I don't usually do.

ODT - Our Daily Topic- Distorted

A simple photograph from a sunny afternoon.

almost nine years ago I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. (Because of the name, IBD is often confused with irritable bowel syndrome ("IBS"), a troublesome, but much less serious condition.) Before that I was a very active athletic girl. After that my whole life changed. I still haven't gotten it under control, I still have to take a ton of pills. I never know when I'm going to have a flare up. Within five minutes I may have to run to the bathroom. It's very hard for me to talk about it still. And there are days when I just want to tear my hair out. To make things worse about three years ago i fell down the stairs and hurt my hip. I was diagnosed with hip bursitis. I can barely walk down the block without feeling a lot of pain. In all of my frequent and fustrating trips to the Dr two years ago I was told I had fibromalsya. Now to have one rare disease that no one has ever heard of is bad and FRUSTRATING enough. But to have two? I immediately refused to believe it. After some time I beginning to be more in touch with it and researching it. Trying different things to get it under control. I have a hard time getting out of bed most days, and pretty much have problems standing or walking for more than twenty minutes on certain days. As much as I hate my legs there are days when I'm learning to love them. So whenever I take pictures of my legs, its just me loving them.

A glimpse of McClellan Hall at Yale University in New Haven, CT, reflected and refracted through the glass marble that now lives in my camera bag.

I flipped the image vertically in Lightroom so the buildings would be right-side-up. The wooden surface at the top of the frame is the arm of a wooden bench.

Taken through condensation on a bus window.

Edited ISS064 image of the moon being distorted by the Earth's atmosphere as it is seen by the ISS.

Unedited. The crappy computer camera and the harsh glare of the afternoon sun coming through the window made for some interesting distortions.

I'm not completely happy with this shot; I meant to retake it with my whole body in the frame, but alas, I moved out of that house before I got around to it.

210/365 Ha, I hope this work... I have really bad vision... I can't see anything without my glasses nor contact lens.

thanks for viewing and commenting

have a nice day

I just love the little bit of distortion in this image...ok, & I love that really sweet face too. I'm telling you...that bag of Skittles was definitely worth it ;)

The distorted and peculiar face of 30 St Mary Axe gives us a disfigured reflection of the nearby Leadenhall Tower, breaking the building's glass façade.

Press L to see on black (much better).

View through the curved windows of the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS), Antwerp, Belgium. The curved windows distort reality, as you can see here. This is a crane, used in the harbor.

Taken with my cell phone.

A distorted view of St Pauls through one of the many sculptures in the surrounds.
