I had a small discussion with one of my ex-BFs about the distorted truth a few days ago. He thought I was feeding him too much of information.
No wonder, I'm an Art student, so I can't think of an object in the same way as him who is a Mathematician.
But I believe that the true reality is consisted of a variety of things: truths, lies, observations, experiments, etc. Losing one, the true reality ain't that TRUE anymore.
Everyone has his/her own way to perceive the truth, and then composes his/her own reality. But somewhere in the world, the true reality exists along with the real truths, distorted truths, real lies, white lies, one's own observations/discovery, etc.
Therefore, each in the world may look at the same thing, listen to the same story, but create his/her own story/reality based on those things. It's kinda biased, ain't it? It may vary among people, but may be the same for a group of people.
Hmm, I'm just thinking too much. I may need to stop rambling, well, altho' I wanna talk more about it. Totally an interesting topic to me.
PS. Am I feeding you guys too many of theories? =]
Even in local supermarket you can find some good subjects to shoot. This time myself :-)

Macro Mondays: Ugliness - a personal viewpoint.
Ugliness is society's pressure to be a certain standard of beauty, causing people to see their own selves in a distorted manner.

This is a smaller version of my cube build from early 2024. The original cube was 24x24x24 studs all white with colourful mosaics on all sides. This one is 14x14x14 studs with a colourful base and the same white mosaic on each side.
It's possible to capture some interesting reflections of The Shard in the glass buildings on the opposite side of the Thames!
Another view of the screen hiding building construction work on the avenue George V. The artist has designed the screen as if a typical Paris Haussmann-style building of the late 1800s was seen in a distorting fairground mirror. No additional distorting or processing here - this shows the screen as it is! And its contrast with the normal building next door. Paris March 08

A fun shot to end this urban portrait series. The distortion is caused by the super wide-angle lens.
