Ok my vacation wasn't really distorted but this wallglass with water coming down on its side is. It's actually a cool effect infront of the hotel.
This photo was taken as a very large print that was coming off the printer at the focus show, and was curling all over the floor. NEC.
Anyone who has been to Hotel Georgia in downtown Vancouver would say this corner doesn't look like this. That's one of the problems with wide angle, it's fun to use, A LOT of fun but also very hard specially ultra wide lenses. This one is ultra wide at 7mm or 14mm in 35mm terms. I got too close that's why it looks like this :)
I'm still not able to comment/fave/view but hopefully tonight I'll finish my assignment and I can visit your streams. Cheers everyone!
I had fun playing with this one! I rubberbanded some plastic wrap over my lens and smeared it with a little shortening (as I didn't have vaseline) to create a fun , distorted photo. For 115 pictures in 2015: no. 79 Distorted.
Just a little exploration of how things would look and feel if perspective defied reality and worked in an opposite manner to that which we see every day.
Maybe to see this in reality it could only be "chemically" induced!

An interesting tree at Brereton Lake.
Once again I find myself HATING the white flickr background. It makes this shot look really dark. If you view this on a grey or black BG it looks much much better. Alternatively view it larger to reduce the effect of the white.
Distorted Tree on Black - thanks Brenda for the link.
The sunset about a week ago from atop Badger Road. People that live here don’t know how lucky they are. Besides having to drive 5 miles to get to the nearest sign of civilization.
And it’s a “squished” panorama. That’s why it’s a bit distorted.
CLICK This link was made for panos.

I was expecting to see trees in full spring bloom here but, instead I saw the last remaining fall colors. This place should be an amazing spot to see fall foliage.
140 of 365 - Two-Face in 3D.
You'll have to dig up some 3D glasses for this one.
If you dig this, go like the Facebook page.
It doesn’t matter what people say.
I don’t need their compliments or critiques.
When I look in the mirror, my own eyes give their opinion.
And they haven’t been satisfied for months.
I fail to see what is beautiful.
Show me your creation. Give me new eyes.
Eyes that see through skin. Eyes that see the heart.
If I changed my focus, would I find beauty there?
It's interesting to look back in your journal and remember what you were feeling in the past. I wrote what is above about a year ago. It's about a growing desire to be beautiful inside, and a letting go of a deep concern for outward beauty and the insecurities that come when that is your focus. To think of myself as beautiful simply because God is the one who made me. I don't think God is real concerned with my bad hair day or what outfit I'm wearing, but He is concerned with the status of my heart. Sometimes our idea of what beauty is becomes distorted.
