accidental twist on curves led to this

Sunset in reflection, Via Giuseppe Giusti, Florence, 22 October 2015.

This distorted image, captured as we drove past Central Burying Ground in Boston, was unexpected given that I first saw this lady talking to herself and shouting at passersby. There is a grace there that I never saw with my naked eye.

Some adaptor lens attachments can deliver some odd images but are notoriously difficult to master.

I am still working on the techniques involved!

Attachment: the grandly titled, "ZYKKOR Super Wider Semi Fish-eye!

This produces circular framed images which I crop to a square format.

Central Office was built in 1892 and was expanded in 1926 through the development of the company. This huge building was abandoned in 1986 following a merger between two leading companies in the steel industry in France.

A heap of locations, 1541 KMs driving, a late night rainy steep infiltration to a famous urbex haunt and a day mostly spent driving and walking to some wrong coordinates.

Commentary-

My first tank! I just love the small Hertzer and after I saw Kidd Huang capture its angles perfectly I wanted to build it. The leaves distort the shape a bit but I think it is worth it. Also I am a bit upset I couldn't open the hatch on both sides and attach the machine gun with a shield but those are the limits of Lego Tell me what your think.

Inspiration-

Kidd Huang- Hull (most of the tank)

Molegode- Suspenson

Features-

Elevating gun

Opening hatch

attached tracks

exhaust

History-

The Jagdpanzer 38 (Sd.Kfz. 138/2), later known as Hetzer ("pursuer/hunter"), was a German light tank destroyer of the Second World War based on a modified Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis. The project was inspired by the Romanian "Mareşal" tank destroyer.

Learning to work with medium format.

The scene I see from the window is blurred

The Christmas cheers seem almost unheard

Everything outside is completely distorted

The faces and bodies are oddly contorted

I reach out to where my fingertips meet

But the glass is too cold so I quickly retreat..

I continue to gaze out with bedazzled eyes

Everything starts to clear-up to my surprise

The festive scene now becomes an amber-like shade

A backdrop to the blue-lit-trees like a golden cascade

I now only see this beautiful world full of care

Full of kind people breathing the crisp fresh air

Full of people just like me..

I know now this is where I am meant to be

And it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Distorts the heavens from pole to pole

And leads you to believe a lie

When you see with, not through, the eye.”
