The fourth meeting of the Advisory Committee took place from 1-3 March 2023 and served as an opportunity to shape the PDD’s next phase, post-2023 and elaborate input to the strategy review process.

The meeting allowed participants to exchange and share their latest work and ongoing or planned initiatives around the topic of disaster displacement. Above all, it provided the opportunity to plan future collaborative engagement and formulate strategic advice for the PDD’s next steps.

The Pride of the Valley Sculpture Park in Churt, Surrey ... better known simply as The Sculpture Park.

Ten acres, with trails that ramble through shady woodlands, along streams, and around ponds. Sculptures (getting on for 1000!) are displayed along the way, often hidden in trees, or lurking in the shrubbery. It's magic. Carved logs add to the display, and there are plenty of interesting benches and seats where you can rest and enjoy the tranquillity.

Inquisitive child at one of the displaced people's camp I had visited. Behind him was the toilet that about 400 people used. They have been moved to another camp now. Assams eternally displaced, as they are called. Here is a link to a story that can give you all a bit more information on the plight of the displaced people.
