2024-05-11 -- Each May during WashU commencement weekend, the College of Architecture and Graduate School of Architecture & Urban Design host the year-end exhibition (Y.E.S.) of graduate and undergraduate work. Y.E.S. is curated by students, who submit proposals in the fall and are selected by the exhibitions committee. The winning teams receive a monetary prize and a budget to mount the exhibition.
Cody Heller, MArch ’24, won the graduate competition with his intriguing box-within-a-box exhibition design. Jiahe Jin, BS ’25; Nuo Xu, BS ’26; and Yiwei Shi, BS ’26 won the undergraduate competition for their “Projected Folds” proposal.

2023-04-03 -- Derek Hoeferlin and Kotchakorn Voraakhom hosted an interactive panel and workshop on global landscape architecture challenges in the Mekong, Mississippi, and Rhine river basins on April 3 at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation. The event marks the release of Hoeferlin's book, "Way Beyond Bigness: The Need for Watershed Architecture."

2023-03-04--The annual Fitzgibbon Charrette took junior and senior architecture students to a familiar landmark for many St. Louisans: Spring Church, the open-air space in the Grand Center Arts District operated by the Pulitzer Arts Foundation. Cory Henry, this year’s moderator and an accomplished architect, presented students with the challenge of designing a ceiling for the church. Henry’s prompt for students to create drawings was “Speculations of an Alternative Present.”
