I watched this praying mantis stalk a stink bug for about 30 minutes, and took easily as many photos, but this one is my favorite.

It all happend so quick, i needed sleep, i thought it was safe, but i was wrong. I woke up, and it was on top of me, it had already tore into me. I tried to grab my gun, but i could not reach it. My shrieks were like the dinner bell of every walker within miles. I new this was the end.
I am back. Hope you guys enjoy this little scene!
The lack of toolsets that are working with current build of this game makes screenshooting not much fun.

the lens is very sharp and contrasty and has a great swirly bokeh effect.
it was cool to see a flock of white ibis (a rare visitor in Cape May) circling the pond. For a minute it looked like they would land, but I think the presence of so many swans put them off and they never actually settled on the water, choosing instead to head off to a quieter spot.
As beautiful as the mute swans are, the sad truth is they simply do not belong here in Cape May.
They're considered an invasive species.
A few individuals were brought over from Europe in the late 1800's, early 1900's up in New England and New York, to grace the ponds of the rich and public parks. The practice was to keep their wings clipped so they couldn't fly far, but a few crafty birds were able to escape and naturalize. Little by little they've worked their way down to the Cape May area.
Now Cape May has a large, year round population.
The problem is they are aggressive. They are pushing out the native species of water foul and they devour a lot of the available food that is critical for other water birds.
Perhaps the Queen should come over here and collect her birds!!
(all the wild mute swans in Great Britain belong to Queen Elizabeth)

This narrowband (Hα) image of CG4 was captured as the first light with my new telescope. I’ve cropped the frame to showcase the most distinctive region, often referred to as “The Galaxy Eater”, because it appears to be devouring a small galaxy.
Due to recent weather constraints, I haven’t been able to collect LRGB data yet. To bring the monochrome view to life, I’ve applied a false-color palette that highlights the intricate details of the nebula.
I hope you enjoy this interpretation, and thank you for your support!
My appreciation and thanks to all of you for your comments awards and faves.

She was attacked as if they were animals, they did not hesitate for a second to devour her half-dead, half-alive body, she was still breathing and as soon as they saw a moment of weakness, they all attacked as if they were a single mind.

A new find for me - Mullein Moth caterpillar............on Mullein. In the wonderful wild f;ower churchyard at Long Bennington
Khmer kingdom, when powerful, covered much of what today is Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and southern Vietnam. They constructed a lot of temples which were not only worship places but official ruling sites too. This subcontinent acted as a hub in the sea trade route from India to China and through Tonle Sap river (that joins to Indian Ocean), people reached in the Khmer kingdom. They highly influenced the khmer with art and culture. The Indian culture and knowledge influenced them heavily which can be seen in these temples. You can see Ramayana, Mahabharatha, purana stories in the bas-reliefs of these temples.
Angkor was the capital of Khmer Empire in its golden period. After the era started fading, they moved their capital to Phnom Penh. No one knows the exact reason behind it, just a lot of assumptions only. These hundreds of temples were soon devoured by the jungle and for centuries, it got hidden in the forest. Now, the archaeological people are doing the restoration work on these temples.
The above photo is taken at Ta Phrom, one among those angkor temples which left as it found but cleared the jungle so people can walk around. While walking here, we get the idea how it would look like when massive structures are devoured by the jungle. We really get the feeling of walking in an ancient city and wonder how it would be when its peak time and now!
It was the film location of Angelina Julie's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and it got wide popularity through this movie. The locals call this temple as Tomb Raider temple.
Even though trees are growing out of the ruins, people wonder how this structures survived the time! Even now, it is not found out what they used to join these stones.
That lady in this photo was making the drawings of the tree on that structure.

In my city, one of the richest cities in the wealthiest country in human history, 39,000 homeless people sleep in shelters every single night. They represent only a sliver of the number of people who live here without work, without homes, without an education, without healthcare of any kind.
As the American military budget approaches $500 BILLION dollars a year, the USA can boast of declining literacy, declining health, declining social services, one of the worst infant mortality rates in the entire Western Hemisphere, more imprisoned citizens than any other country on earth, and a national debt that numbers in the trillions of dollars.
Those who actually have work see their wages taxed to prop up some of the most violently repressive military regimes on earth - Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Israel. Our past best friends included Saddam's Iraq, the Shah's Iran, Apartheid South Africa, the Philippines under Marcos, Somoza in Nicaragua, etc etc etc. Virtually every gencodaire and dictator of the last 50 years has been in our payroll. For example, until 1998, every single high level Taliban official was in the payroll of the US. Across the earth our national wealth is being doled out around the world to armed fanatics of every stripe, even as we steal the natural wealth of the earth to feed our own greedy apetites for Chia Pets and Eyeliner. The amount of money Americans spend of pornography and dog food each year could feed every starving person on the planet - not that we care. Meanwhile, our economic, cultural and military force is turned towards stamping out democracy wherever it emerges, crushing human rights wherever they are demanded.
While 50,000 people a day die of hunger, lack of clean water, and the largest epidemic in history, the wealthiest country in the world offers the poorest countries in the world little more than prisons, bibles, military bases, threats, weapons, and "structural assistance" that benefits only the wealthiest .001%. In the end, the price of our assistance is always the same: political obedience, economic enslavement, and debt repayment schedules which consume the gross national product of entire continents....

The guy in this photo is a local character who has lived in my neighborhood for decades. People call him "Screaming Jesus", a vaguely affectionate kind of mockery which conveniently disregards his entire life. I was delighted to see him carrying the flag on the 4th of July. He had some words for me about the state of this country.
Our lack of interest is a mirror he is holding up to those who run this country like a private slush fund. He is an early warning system which we ignore at our own terrible peril.
This shot reminds me of a lyric from my favorite band Marillion:
Did you ever dream of running
And find you couldn't move
Did you ever dream of running
Running scared
Ankle deep in glue
With the monster after you
And it's catching up
Monsters catching up
And it's catchin' up and you're going nowhere
And you're slowin' up And you can't wake up
And it's catchin' up
and you're going nowhere wake up wake up
You're falling…
(Steve Hogarth)

This shot would have made nice Monday face, too, don't you think?
Enjoy!
