I took this of the Deviled Eggs that I made to bring to a work lunch potluck party.

After church, my wife and I drove to Long Branch Cafe for their buffet.

Deviled eggs with smoked salmon, cornichon, chili sea salt

- Horseradish and dijon

- Pesto, parmesean, and sun-dried tomatoes

- Jalapeño and chives

- Blue cheese and peppered bacon

- Dijon with onion and tarragon

We started early so we could eat a bit of all of the good things.

Wife just had to try dyeing the eggs.

Sometimes the things you cook are almost too beautiful to eat.

Making a decent photo of it is another matter... F. and I being generally famished at that stage of the process makes it impossible to start using complicated lighting tricks... :-)

Heading over to an Easter potluck at a friend's house. Deviled eggs in tow. 8 - ) A quick search indicates that the deviled egg originated in Rome. Hmmm.

My wife prepared deviled eggs to go with our Easter dinner.

i love them...i had lunch at a historic home over the weekend with some of my girlriends...these were de-lish.

Yes, there were more, but I didn't get a picture before half of them were devoured!

I like to put an extra one or two whole eggs in the yolk mixture to make enough filling to over stuff the egg whites.

I usually let the wife handle the recipes that take some sort of finesse because she is good with her hands (i.e. homemade dumplings, kimbab rolls). For some reason my batches never come out as "pretty" as hers. But after watching her multiple times make deviled eggs, I thought I would give it a try using more Asian ingredients like minced garlic and gochugaru, which are red pepper flakes. I can't say my deviled eggs came out as "pretty" as hers, but the taste was uniquely pleasant and it was nice having garnish besides paprika all the time. There are endless variations with different garnishes and ingredients (I even saw a few recipes with steak strips and fish roe/caviar...yummy) so I can't wait to do more experimenting with these simple yet tasty treats.

One of Eric's specialties. His macaroni salad also kicks butt and of course, his sandwiches. He's got a reputation for turning anything into a sandwich.

We don't have fancy piping tips, so the egg-goo can look a little better. We just stuff it into a plastic baggie, cut a corner off and extrude.

We're at Jon's Roast Beef & Deli in Laconia, to see how it compares to Harrison's. The staff were really nice, and they had Moxie, which is a huge plus.

Before I start posting photos from my weekend in Tucson I have to thank my MOM for all the hard work that resulted in this incredible meal!

Some of my serving platters, plus the Fire King Classic (or Rachael) snack set. I want to use the divided gold-trimmed platters in my wedding- any ideas? They are really more appropriate for a tea party, as they are more of a dinnerplate size...

Playing with my food again. This was not as easy as I thought....

My wife prepared a nice Easter dinner consisting of ham, sweet potato casserole, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, brown and serve rolls, baked beans, crunch top potatoes and deviled eggs.

December 05, 2018 - My wife prepared baked chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans and deviled eggs for supper this evening.

Wife doesn't like them, so taking advantage of trip with my Dad to indulge. Tasty. (via Foodspotting)

For supper tonight my wife prepared a chicken curry casserole, deviled eggs, Amish friendship bread and banana pudding for dessert.
