For Sunday dinner, my wife prepared a meatloaf dinner. The sides included deviled eggs, mashed potatoes and butternut squash.
Roasted garlic & bacon deviled eggs with smoked paprika, at Americana (formerly Table 219), on Broadway in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.
It seems odd (to me) to call a restaurant "Americana" when the menu includes such items as mini tuna tartar tacos, duck confít nachos, and poached pear & taleggio cheese sandwiches. But then, they also have pork spareribs, mac ‘n’ cheese, sloppy joe sliders, new york strip steak, and a donut a la mode.
Everything I've had here, along with the service, has been quite good.

For Easter dinner, my wife prepared a ham dinner. For sides we had okra, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, hash brown potato casserole, and cross buns. She made a lot of deviled eggs!
bottom tier: 3 little honey BBQ chicken drumettes; Red, White and Blue Potato Salad
top tier: Deviled Egg (low-fat, crumbled blue cheese added to standard recipe with bacon bits on top); corn on the cob; red cup contains cottage cheese with strawberry stars and blueberries; cherry tomatoes and sugar snap peas fill in.
This is a Paula Deen recipe (I cut back a little on mayo and chutney this time so the egg yolk flavor was a tad stronger). I made these a few weeks back and made them again today so that mom could give them a try.
They're awesome--much better than the standard bright yellow / red paprika deviled eggs boredom we encounter at every potluck.
Mom's variation of Julia Child's Oeufs à la Diable, using less mayo, a touch of olive oil in with the butter, and a sprinkling of paprika on top of the finished halves. I piped the filling into the whites for presentation's sake, since they were going to my stepbrother's engagement party.

For supper my wife and I had chicken patties, deviled eggs, broccoli with cheese sauce, and hush puppies.
My sister-in-law went to the store and they were sold out of eggs. She was having Easter dinner at her house and ALWAYS prepares deviled eggs........... so these are what she presented to the family as her version of deviled eggs this year!
