This picture is in conjunction to Morning Blue. While the latter one was taken at about 80 minutes before sunrise, this one is taken at about 5 minutes after.

Shown here is the chalk cliff coast of Rügen, Germany's largest island. The position this picture was taken from is a place called "pirate bay", with a rumored treasure chest still being hidden somewhere. :)

The sun is very low, so only a part of the beach made out of flint stones is covered in light, the rest still being blocked from direct sunlight by the row of large, natural stones.

This picture was taken with the Tokina 11-16mm lens with 11 mm focal length at 1/60 seconds exposure time, an aperture of f/11 and ISO 200.

Out of the series, I chose this picture due to the great splash effect of the incoming, and half lit, waves breaking at the row of stones and the two birds flying through the picture.
