Martius - Hockney-esque multi image composites of home.
The first project project in my monthly uploadings.
I've found that these are reallly fun to do! I shot more than 9 in hopes of having a perfect 10, but some didn't work out as planned.
The idea sprouted from Sophomore Seminar, when I was totally stuck with "When I Dream." I tried to switch my idea to do "Close to Home" but didn't want the letter grade drop. I still shot when I went home the next weekend, just to see what I could shoot.
Out came the hockney-esques.
Driving my truck down one of my favorite roads in my hometown, Gilardi Rd, one that isn't paved or made for two vehicles.
The Church at Salts Mill in Saltaire, Bradford, Yorkshire. Part of the World Heritage Site that now houses shops, a museum and a collection of David Hockney's original work.
The mill was first opened in 1853 and completed in 1876 and a village for the workers grew up alongside.
It's well worth a visit and photographing.

On the evening before the meeting, we had dinner with Muguet, Millie and 2 of her children, and a handful of the Tweedys. Neither Chico or Patty could make it at all because of weather and flight cancellations. Everyone met at the apartment for drinks and hors d'oeuvres and we went downstairs for Italian food.

ORIGINALLY PRODUCED BY HOCKNEY AS A SERIES OF ETCHINGS ON A LARGER SCALE - THIS VERY SMALL BOOK WAS PRODUCED BY ST PETERSBURG PRESS - I VISITED SALTAIRE -BRADFORD LATE 70'S AND MET JONATHON SILVER AT THE MILL - ONLY A VERY SMALL PART HAD BEEN 'MODERNISED' - THE DAY I VISITED HOCKNEY WAS FAXING THROUGH DRAWINGS FROM CALIFORNIA - YES I SAID FAXING ! JONATHON WAS PUTTING THEM TOGETHER TO PRODUCE A LARGER WORK - INTERESTING - HOCKNEY ALWAY INTERESTED IN USING TECHNOLOGY - AND GENERALLY WHAT WAS AVAILABLE. - I BOUGHT THIS LITTLE GEM FROM JONATHON AND TREASURED IT EVER SINCE -
… in a really nice cup. And practically the only thing in Salt's Mill that wasn't overpriced. (I'm not counting the Early Music Shop – all their instruments are hand-made and are priced accordingly.)
Mais um panorama David Hockney, porém agora de um lugar um pouco mais interessante que o meu quarto, mas bem mais BATIDO também.
