Drusilla likes to spend time reading in a cozy spot in the library.
I just found the typewrite today at Salvation Army.

Human Size books - I started "collecting" vintage books when I found a bunch in my grandmother's attic two summers ago. They belonged to my grandfather, his uncle, and some of my uncles. The earliest date is 1898, one from 1901, another 1911, some from the 1920-30s, some from later.
On this shelf, the Lone Ranger (1940) and Tarzan (1934) were in my grandmother's attic. Wilderness Empire (1969) was on her bookshelf. I just bought Great Expectations for a quarter this week at the thrift store. I bought some for the color of the fabric at a flea market for a quarter each (mostly greens). I have a lamp stacked on some books on an old wash basin in my hallway. I like them for decorating and I love having the ones from my family - 120 years old!

One of Drusilla’s favorite activities is rearranging the display on her Bureau of Curiosities.
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla for Bureau of Curiosities on Flickr and Bewitched on Facebook. With this close up angle, I couldn’t figure out how to include a pointy hat on Drusilla, since I’m putting a witch in every picture this month—then I realized that there is a witch on the bureau, so Drusilla didn’t need a hat! You can’t see too much of it, but this bureau is a beautiful old piece of doll furniture from the antique mall. I made her dress, as well as the two larger items on the bottom shelf: the purple blob (from air dry clay) and the monster book (from a matchbox).
On a moonlit night, the world feels quiet and magical.
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla for “Quiet and Magical” on Flickr and “Bewitched “ on Facebook.
What a BEAUTIFUL day to return my books to the library! There is so much black—my favorite color!
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla for “Pitch black” on Flickr and “Bewitched” on Facebook. The background is a poster.
“Always speak the truth—think before you speak—and write it down afterwards.”
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla as the Red Queen for “Alice” on Facebook and “Flower Crown” on Flickr. The playing card background is a piece of paper party decor.
A title perfectly suited for Daunting Drusilla.

First, wear something stunning. Second, wait until all the other guests have gone inside. Finally, make your dramatic entrance!
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla wearing Stella Serendipitous’ stock outfit for the theme “Lady in red” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The door is from Byer’s Choice. I’ve had this same door in green for quite a while and I love it, so when I saw this red one at the antique mall for half the price, I couldn’t pass it up!
Here’s hoping that 2025 will be your best year ever!
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla, wearing Allie Gabrielle’s stock dress. The background is metallic wrapping paper.
This picture wraps up an entire year of posting a Blythe picture every day: Blythe 366! Hooray for me! What will happen next? I want to take a little break, but taking daily dolly pictures has become such a habit, it makes me nervous to think of stopping, even for a few days! So, on I go!
Cat fairies live deep in the woods, and can be identified by their pointy ears and lacy wings. They sometimes take on human form.
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla, posing with her cat Jiji for “Fairies” in Blythe World on Facebook. I cut out the wings from scrapbooking paper. The background is a poster.
BaD November Alphabet Fun! I thought it would be really fun to showcase some of my Candy dolls and their namesakes that coorisponde with the Letters
A is for:
Anise - My Daunting Drusilla
Anise - that is in the jar and glittered all around her - it's smells heavenly like black licorice hence her name
Apothecary - my apothecary drawers I've had since the early 80's and got them when I worked at my favorite antique store
Apothecary Jars - more of my special delights that are always out in my kitchen and I also purchased these at my favorite store!
Antiques - well cause I love them and she's surrounded by them
Arachnids - Who doesn't love a good spider that sat down beside her ;D
Drusilla took a walk in the pet cemetery yesterday. It was perfectly dreadful in every way, so she had a wonderful time.
Yes, a nearby vacant lot was actually decorated as a pet cemetery, with lots of different tombstones (made of styrofoam) and a different (plastic) skeleton on each one.
Drusilla plans to brush up on her hexes, spells and potions in anticipation of the big night. Happy Halloween!

Eeeep she has arrived. I can hardly wait to get her out of the box!!! And I still needs a name :D
If there was a Halloween fan club, Drusilla would be president.
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla, wearing her stock dress. The background and sign are scrapbooking paper.
"If people find out that looks really CAN kill, they might stop buying my poisons--and those are the real money makers. I'd better trash this Kill With a Look" potion!"
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla, wearing her stock outfit. The theme is "If looks could kill" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
Gifts should come from the heart, so this year everyone on her Christmas list will get something Drusilla loves: an Ugly Doll.
Daunting Drusilla is lovely and can easily carry off a sweeter look than her stock outfit might indicate; however, she is still a bit goth at heart. These miniature Ugly Dolls (from Walmart) are obscuring her pretty dress today--next time I will make sure it shows!
After you’ve been out shopping, it’s great to get back to your home sweet haunted home.
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla, posing for the theme “Home Sweet Haunted Home” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The background is a jigsaw puzzle.
“Beware; for I am fearless, and therefore powerful.” —spoken by Dr. Frankenstein’s monster in Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein

I will never “Lego” of your heart.
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla, wearing an exquisite dress…but sadly, I can’t remember who made it. Today’s theme is “Lego” (obviously). At the beginning of the month, when I read through the list of themes, I didn’t have any Legos, so I ordered this fun puzzle (from Amazon), featuring Lego mini figures, for the background. The mini figures on it are so cute that I bought a blind box of six figures, one of which you can see on the heart in this picture. This was fun and different for me.
This is Daunting Drusilla wearing a Blythe Happy dress. The popcorn, machine, and soda are part of a play set for Our Generation dolls at Target. This picture is #15 in my Valentine's Day 2020: Kitschy Valentines series.
At the last minute, Drusilla remembered that the Halloween party invitation said "Bring your own potion." Luckily for her, the gypsy caravan was still in the vacant lot, so she was able to buy a pretty pink potion and still make it to the party on time.
That's Milky Way Sugar on the left, and Daunting Drusilla on the right. Day 30 of 31 Days of Halloween.
When decorating for Christmas, remember to take everyone's opinion into consideration.
That's a Mab Graves Krampus card, which my friend Amy sent to me last Christmas.
According to Wikipedia: "In Central European folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure described as 'half-goat, half-demon', who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts." No wonder Nellie Nibbles doesn't like him on her wall.
These Blythe dolls are Nellie Nibbles (Middie) and Daunting Drusilla (Neo). The beautiful bedding was made by Angie Coppi of Goodnight Sweet Blythe on Facebook.
There’s something for everyone at the thrift store.
This Blythe doll is Daunting Drusilla, holding a Scrump doll (from the movie Lilo and Stitch), for the theme “Oh, you pretty things!” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
“Decorating for Halloween is so much fun!……Haha, who am I kidding? My house always looks like this!”
My Daunting Drusilla makes her first Halloween appearance of the year for the theme “Keep Out” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.
Everything went smoothly for Cat as she passed through customs. What a relief!
This blue-haired Blythe doll is Can Can Cat, posing for the theme “Passport” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The tiny passport is a free printable I found online (just search “Blythe doll passport”). Yes, she wears her ears everywhere! The passport inspector is Daunting Drusilla, wearing Cadence Majorette’s stock dress. The background is a poster. —-Oops, I posted this a day early, sorry all! I will post the ticket picture tomorrow.
Hello Blythe lovers! I had one more idea for the Blythe Museum Challenge (#blythemuseumchallenge) here on Facebook, so I rounded up some Blythe dolls and made an effort to re-create Henri Matisse's work, "Dance 1". Yes, they're naked, but it's art, so it's okay. The actual painting is here: www.flickr.com/photos/leslieshappyheart/49854767827/in/da...
These five Blythe dolls are, from left to right: Sea Sailor See, Lady Camellia, Pretty Peony, Daunting Drusilla, and Milky Way Sugar. The background is fabric. They made good use of their pull rings to facilitate the hand-holding necessary for this picture. I hope you get a laugh out of this--I did!
A little disappointed that she didn't arrive in time for Hallowe'en, but what a perfect new release!
Her outfit is lush, and reminds me of Pullip stock. A coffin bag! Bone ear-rings. Fancy lace head-band! Two dresses, (a white lace under-dress and the black smock), and two pairs of tights too, (the black bones and a plain white pair)! All very nice indeed. :)

"Meet me in the cemetery at midnight. Don't be late."
This is a second post today, because Daunting Drusilla showed up yesterday, unexpectedly, after I had already finished taking all 31 pictures for the 31 Days of Halloween challenge. I didn't think I would see her for several more weeks, and I was planning to save her for a Christmas gift to myself--but she's here before Halloween, so I MUST take a few pictures of her! More to come in the next few days, hopefully.
I love that she comes with two outfits. My favorite piece of her stock is the headband; the bow is sewn to the fabric covering the plastic band, and it stays on her head much better than a bow with a clip or ribbon tie. My favorite thing about the doll herself are her red, red lips. Those lips were the deciding factor for me; since I'm not into her goth theme, I had passed when she was available for pre-order. Later, I saw a close-up of her face, and the lips did me in. I am excited to see how she looks in other clothing styles, but for this week I won't tamper with her dark attitude!
Plaid Parade arrived yesterday and she is rather gorgeous! She’s a great companion to my Drusilla ❤️
Except some of the girls doesn't have light blue eyes. Ten Happy Memories is actually Cream girl, include her is just a comparison.
From most pale to not too pale, Charlotte wins!
Cousin Olivia got very different tone that's why I place her in left side, actually Charlotte and Bianca is more pale than her, maybe is just my Olivia already got yellowed or something, but you can refer her actual skin tone by her legs.
I thought Christina is cream, I just try to place her beside them but she can match with these snow girls perfectly, I also thought Bianca is the most pale release ever until I got Charlotte, OMG look at her face and body, just white like paper!
So many girls move in in just half of this year.
這些都是今年下半年才報到的娃,沒想到一下子那麼多娃進來,這次包括那些重複的娃們,所以才那麼壯觀,因為這裡有娃要離開了,所以趕緊拍一張😆
“Hooray, the pumpkin order is here! I hope it will be enough…for cooking…carving…decorating…(smashing)…nope, we’re going to need another truck full!”
These Blythe dolls are Lena Elena (Middie), Daunting Drusilla (Neo), and two Littlest Pet Shop Blythes (Petites). I’m glad I got to use my Halloween jigsaw puzzle for a background again, before the month is over. The cute truck with the giant pumpkin permanently riding in the back is from Target.
