What we came for. Thick, blistered, shattering crackling gainst fairly lean, silky moist pork belly. Served with Kecap Manis. 85 bhat.
Thanks to SB for posting a video of this for me to follow up on hours before I landed in Bangkok. Thank goodness it wasn't that far away from my hotel (about 10 min taxi ride) on Chan Rd, which I would have never ventured to had it not been for this tip. Wow.

This is one of those days I am homesick and really needed some comfort food.... This recipe actually worked (I used chinese five spices instead of the fermented beancurd)
This cereal has all that familiar "Snap!" and "Pop!" great taste... for a whole lot less.

My wife spotted this grasshopper on one of her tomato plants. She then served as my assistant in holding the light and the blue foam background. In post processing I rotated the photo so he was no longer upside down, made adjustments in levels and contrast. Lighting: SB28 on manual at 1/16th power, triggered with Pocket Wizard Plus II,
A decent, low-allergy, gluten-free pastry dough that you can roll out is hard to find - and sometimes harder to make! I finally got a decent blend of flours, starches and binders together that delivered both texture and a "mild" taste... perfect for both savoury applications and sweets (like my "famous" blueberry-date pie shown here!).
