ICM (intentional camera movement - single exposure in-camera

It was an overcast morning, and I decided to go for a walk in the local woods. I would have usually preferred a solo trail run to clear my head, but I wanted to take my time and soak-in the morning. So I grabbed my gear and headed out.
Though it was an overcast day there was a hint of sunshine peeking through the clouds. The air was crisp, the woods were still, lovely and tranquil, only interjected by the cheerful twittering of birds and the occasional cry of peacocks. As I walked, I felt a wave of awe and wonder even as I was reminded of the lines of the hymn, "When through the woods, and forest glades I wander, And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees... Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee, How great Thou art, How great Thou art!"
As I plodded on, I stumbled upon a meandering path in a small clearing of the woods. That got my creative juices flowing and with that creative inspiration, I decided to use ICM to capture this beautiful neck of the woods in impressionistic style.

This might be my personal favorite from the 5.2 mile round trip up and back through the Narrows slot canyon. The light changes in here drastically as the minutes pass by. As sunlight penetrates the narrow gorge opening above, the bounce light illuminates the walls with an ethereal glow revealing amazing textures and shapes.
… dann erwachen die Kugelspringer. Dieses Exemplar konnte ich mitten in der Nacht fotografieren, als ich den Kugelspringer mit einer Taschenlampe anleuchtete. Daraufhin entstand dieses Bokeh.

While on the school run, this African tulip caught my eye—just casually standing out among a bunch of yellow flowering trees. I imagined a composition using Intentional Camera Movement, you know, make it all abstract, like a tulip that’s got sway and rhythm.
The result? A photograph that reminds me of a dancing African lady, all flame and gold, swaying gracefully amidst her more subtle companions. The yellow trees became a soft blur, while the tulip took centre stage, twirling in the spotlight.

The irresistible Cala lily – a flower so poised, it might as well moonlight as a ballet dancer. I had a go at capturing its essence through a bit of Intentional Camera Movement, which, let’s be honest, is not as straightforward as it sounds.
The result? An elegant study of shape and form, as if the lily had shed its floral modesty to reveal the purest lines of its being. The curves seemed to dance on the canvas, teasing the eye to follow their elegance.
And while I fancied myself as an artist in the moment, the lily held its own – ethereal, confident, unbothered by my clumsy hand. Even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Brace yourselves, for I have so committed a heinous act, that even the ghosts of some eminent photographers may be stirred in their eternal slumber. Picture this: an experiment in intentional camera movement, a reckless affair from the window of a moving train! As the locomotive barreled through the countryside, I pointed my lens at the windswept grass, abandoning the crisp precision purists hold so dear. Behold the result - an impressionistic dance of splotchy hues and shapes, a kaleidoscope of motion. ‘Abstract’, they’d say, and purists would undoubtedly roll in their graves, muttering about blurry, fuzzy lines with no tangible subject. Yet, in this whimsical departure from convention, I found a delightful rebellion, a visual feast for those unafraid to frolic in the artistic fields of photographic heresy. Cheers to a journey where rules are but fleeting shadows, and the view from the tracks is a canvas for the artistically minded.

A floral fiesta, a whirlwind of colours brought to life with a twist of the wrist that left me feeling lucky not to sprain it. Yet again, I used intentional camera movement, sending blooms into a whimsical waltz of creative blur. Amidst this technicolour chaos, a floral epiphany blossomed - a revelation that sharpness is overrated, and beauty blooms in the blurriest of moments. ICM always dares me to see beyond the mundane and into the realm of creative imagination.

Much awaited CNP Coffee-table Books (3 volumes) were launched in Simha Farms - A picturesque location in Western Ghats. Books were launched by torch bearers Ganesh H Shankar, RD and Nirlep. Event, sessions, interactions, responses to the book were moments to remember for lifetime. It also turned out to be nostalgic and emotional event.

expanse of thar desert with a lonely man and a sheep passing by. the tree being on the top of the sanddunes, wind has blown away sand by it's roots!

Stiched 10 images to create sequence in Eclipse...Consider myself fortunate to frame White ibis with moon .
somewhere in the thar desert, this wind eroded solid core seemed to me very phallic in appearence, surrounded by soft rippled sand.

pelicans 'n coots in khijadiya wildlife sanctuary. i am not surprised when wildlife enthusiasts calls jamnagar a heaven for bird-watchers, esp. water/coastal birds.
