Rub, Rub, Rub. I like to try some twisting action. I like to think the twist helps felt the inside with the hot glue ridges.

My daughter and I made this from a vintage children's book and an Ikea table and chairs. It was featured on Craft's Craft Daily Blog.

I made my own ratchet strap from a belt. The foam was a little warped so it didn't want to stay glued. The belt applied pressure to allow glue to dry, then I set it outside & let it dry over night.
Gluing foam together. i kept the glue to the inside so that when I carve the foam down, I don't have to cut through the hard glue. Once it is covered in felt, the foam won't come apart, so I didn't use much, just enough to tack.
This is a great project using rocks and acrylic paint. I have taught it at several kid art classes.
