We visited the beautiful Muddus Nationalpark in Lappland/Sweden and then we found a lovely place for the night. We made a campfire and I prepared homemade bread for my upcoming cookbook "Einfach Draussen" (it's in german and it is about camping/outdoor cooking)

Instant kitchen art - gorgeous/interesting cookbook covers.

I've been hanging on to this idea since I saw it in a Pottery Barn(?) catalog a few years ago.

These show illustrations from Peter Boizot's "Pizza Express Cookbook" , dated 1976. Around this time I bought it as a present for my mother, who was a keen cook. When she died in 1983 I kept the book as a keepsake. For many years now I've been making pizzas regularly, usually on Sunday nights, with this as an inspiration.

Incidentally, I discovered the Pizza Express chain in the late 70s - and have gone back several times in several cities - most recently the one on Bankside in London, on my 59th birthday, and think they make some of the best pizzas anywhere!

This cookbook is actually autographed by some lady that has a cooking show on TV. I had never heard of her, but it was a nice gesture from the lady that gave it to me! Look at Chasity, she's looking at me like, "You're never going to use that... give it to me!"
