These gift tags are made from repurposed manila file folders that have been collaged on one side with pages from the meat chapter of a vintage cookbook. The photos and recipes are classic retro and you'll receive a nice assortment of both. I enjoy seeking out old cookbooks at book sales and yard sales and love using them to make these tags!
They measure 2.75" x 1.75" and have a piece of bakers twine attached. Your tags will be packaged in a cello bag as shown in the last picture.
Great gift for people who love to bake or use them for gifts or party favors!
I love "Better Homes and Gardens" cookbooks. Most of them have classic illustrations and fonts that perfectly mirror the design and fashion of the times. And the recipes are pretty good, too.
A series of peanutman illustrations from the Oklahoma's Peanut Commission cookbook, 'It's Easy to be a Gourmet with Peanuts... the Good Buys in Many Ways.' This cookbook is probably from the 1980s. Drawings include Ice Cream, Puddings, and Sweet Sauces; Cakes and Frostings; Candies; Breads; and Sandwiches.

I'll be sad to leave most of these in storage. The chosen few that will go with me are on the bottom shelf. Close-ups of the shelves: Bottom, Middle , Top.
These photos were taken so I could join in on the cookbook meme. I post about my shelves here.
Just incredible -- The Little Saigon Cookbook, drawing on recipes from the Vietnamese diaspora that settled here in OC. A great score for our Southeast Archive at the library, and a marvelous book for an aspiring cook like me!
