I stopped in a community garden looking for butterflies. I only saw a few butterflies but these delicate pink poppies made up for it.

Northwest corner of Burrard and Davie streets, next to St. Paul's Hospital. The site was once a Shell gas station. With St. Paul’s Hospital moving out of Vancouver’s West End the property is likely to host future condos, which would mean the end of the garden.

Yesterday I went to my local library to collect a book I had on reserve. I came home with four books, three magazines, four plant pickings and two bees. It is these last objects that my blog is about today.
