Released from English Electric Vulcan Foundry as D6755 on 21 September 1962, and first allocated to Thornaby and (temporarily) transferred to Gateshead two years later.
It was transferred to Stratford on 4 January 1981, with last observations recorded in July 1984.
Renumbered 37055 under the TOPS (Total Operations Processing System) system introduced in 1971. Named ‘Rail Celebrity’
37604 at Rugeley taking a set of freightliner flats from Daventry to Crewe. 37604 was delivered new (as D6707) from Vulcan Foundry in February 1961, so is now in its 55th year of service.
