Chowder is a handsome boy who will need a Chow experienced home. Once he gets to know you, he is quite friendly and his big tail is wagging away. Chowder can be somewhat aloof and will need some work on his obedience. A home that has Chow experience would be preferred as they can be a challenging breed. Chowder seems to walk well on leash and was more interested in sniffing around than anything. He hasn't been assessed with dogs at this time, but doesn't show much interest when he walks past the kennels.

Inspired by the Manhattan Corn Chowder from Not Eating Out in New York (noteatingoutinny.com). Made with crushed canned tomatoes, four ears of fresh corn (from Boston Organics), one chopped zucchini, 1/2 lb. chopped green beans (BO), chopped spring onions (BO), cumin, pepper, salt, and dressed with fresh cilantro and lime juice.
