The commandery attested in 1236 dominates the valley of Bonnette and the village of Lacapelle, near Caylus, on the borders of Rouergue and Quercy. There remains the chapel which is the current village church, the two main buildings of the castle and outbuildings.The existing buildings still bear many traces of the history of the Knights of the Temple, then of their successors, the Knights Hospitallers of Jerusalem, known as "Rhodes" or "Malta", who occupied it until the Revolution

From an underground river that releases at the head of a short canyon, with the water descending to the Camil and into the Bonnette and Aveyron rivers. The waterfall is less than a kilometre from a second and more famous falls (see below). The falls are probably between 10 and 20m in total.
Chapel St Martin 12 th century is part of the Chateau de Cas first built in the 9th century which later became a Templar Knights stronghold in the 13th century

Eglise St-Jean-Baptiste Caylus.
Established on a hill, Caylus was formed around a castle. In 1211, the village was set on fire during the crusade against the Albigenses, but after 1226 it spread beyond its original walls. The market square, lined with galleries, was created around 1247 and houses a hall that dates from 1505

Caylus is famous for a castle built before 1176, and was owned by Raymond V of Toulouse at the time. It was taken by Simon de Montfort in 1211, before moving into the royal domain in 1270. In 1562, the city was sacked by the troops Calvinists of Symphorien Durfort, lord of Duras. In 1622, Louis XIII established headquarters here during the siege of Saint-Antonin
