I was out the other evening aiming for scenic night-time photos when the gods of weather decided otherwise. I said to myself: Why not make the best of it?
I shoot with my phone from the front window of the car while we were driving to our home on the south car road of Tenerife Island. We must put attention to the reflections. Lights of cars and the moon
For some reason, I can't get enough of car light trails.
I really like this spot because it gives you the opportunity to photograph all of the cars and traffic.
More to come.
Once again many thanks for visits, comments and faves, much appreciated!

A tree skeleton still reaches for the sky at Mesquite Flats Sand Dunes. It is lit by lights from cars leaving a nearby parking lot.
We are leaving tomorrow to travel down I-5 through Washington, Oregon and California, then west to Death Valley. We are hoping for a break in the rain storms while we travel. It will be exciting to be back in Death Valley again.
Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday!

THANKS ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS !!!!!
Actually the plan was to photograph some Perseids, because this night of the 12th/13th August 2013 was the maximum of the meteor shower activity in 2013. But, after I found this place I couldn't resists trying to combine startrails with car light trails.
And, like I already did it before in one of the previous project, I had to drive the car by myself after I fired the camera using endless exposure mode, because the road was not used often by anyone.
By the way, 10mm Lens, which I rented specifically for this night is awesome! The diameter of this turn is ca. 160m and the camera was placed about 3m away from it, however the whole area could fit on the photo.

I have driven the A4440 to Malvern passing under the new footbridge at St. Peters in Worcester, UK several times last year and each time I passed it was a little more complete but still not open to the public.
So, I was quite surprised last week when driving past again that it was no full open and accessible. So, wanting a quick run out with the car I thought Id take my camera and check out the view from the bridge.
Note to self, and I need to be more mindful of cars changing lanes!

last night I had fun taking pictures of lights while moving so that it creates light drawings, this is a photo of a car passing by :)
I'm looking up at an autumn night from one of the oldest mountain ranges on the planet; specifically, I'm in the New River Gorge of the Appalachian Mountains. Before these mountains settled, this used to be the ultra-tall mountainous spine of the Pangea supercontinent.
There’s a long bridge over the gorge.
The cosmos are spinning around that one northern star.
This is inside the New River Gorge Bridge National Park and Preserve. Although the gorge is surrounded by dense Appalachian hardwood forests, the man-made bridge that crosses it is sort of the gathering point of the national park. Its visitors center is just to the right. This point of view on a crisp fall night is from the bottom of the gorge looking up at the bridge and sky as cars cross it.
