Night traffic on Interstate 40 streams by as lightning strikes pound Black Mesa above Milan, New Mexico.

On the walk you took in order to escape your thoughts, this memory arrived. You stood frozen before the metallic horse. Like an angel you were dispensed yesterday like liquid gold biters. A drink. You know you can't change a thing. You continue your walk.

I moved from Beaverton to Keizer a few weeks ago to be closer to my job. There are many things that I do not miss about Portland, like the traffic. But, I do miss the people, the scenery, and the close access to Mt Hood as well as the gorge. The commute to Corvallis is definitely worth it from here!
This shot was inspired by one of bnzai9's posts. Thanks, Larry. We need to get out shooting sometime. It's been a while.

EXPLORE :) taken sitting in the passenger seat- a bump in the road caused the camera to move but it made a lovely red heart from the bokeh blending together :)
Finally, I have come around to my NYC images. It was a fantastic journey, and I had such a hard time cutting down my photos to just a few handfuls of images, but I think I made an excellent selection. Starting off right downtown with a shot of the One World Trade Tower. I think the Financial District is hugely underrated. Most people say it has lost a lot since Covid; it isn't as busy as it used to be. Having never seen it in its glory days, I have no point of comparison, and to me, it was filled with delights, sights, and something new around every corner.
An expansive aerial view captures the vibrant night cityscape of Tokyo, featuring brightly lit skyscrapers, winding highways with vehicle light trails, and the iconic Rainbow Bridge under a dark sky.
Captured from a nearby mountainside before taking the plunge into Mono Basin, CA. During the day the valley below looks like a barren desert, but during the night it comes alive and shines brilliantly with a river of gold.
