Macro Mondays - Leather

Happy Macro Monday everyone.

Not sure if this is real leather or a very good imitation, but hopefully it'll do :) It's the end of the wrist strap on my Olly Pen-F.

I'm off out for the day and will try and catch up with everyone this evening ... tiz a Bank Holiday Monday here in the UK and I'm going to the Jack in the Green festivities in Hastings.

With all the varying light, reflections, shapes and colors in this shot, I think I confused the hell out of my camera's exposure meter.

This little camera was a 9th birthday present in 1977, but looking at an old album yesterday I realised I was still using it in the early 90s!

It only took me 37 years after receiving it to get into this photography lark properly :)

I am not yet fully clear what the camera means to me. It surely does fascinate me and it clearly helps me to see things in a new way. My guess at the moment is that the camera is a medium between my inside and the outside. Bringing my self into a new relationship with things, surfaces, faces and life. Putting myself in context. Another new camera that I treated myself to and it cost less than a tenner !!

It measures just 2 centimetres at it's widest or less than an inch if you want it in English . It lives on a ring attached to the case for the G1 X , but for this afternoon it came off for a macro capture as my one shot a day .
