Lockdown Fun: The lakes here are closed, so I have to use my imagination!

Acme Little Cleo Wigl-Lure in color pattern YRD

This one is about 2-3/8" long.

Lure was hanging vertically, camera somewhat above looking about 30'deg down to get the image angle to show lure thickness. This necessitated focus stacking in post process. Six images were taken and focus stacked manually. The "wigl" in this lure creates a photographic challenge. Image rotated 90-deg.

My neighbors' backyard faces my bedroom. They are party people who love music and (shudder) karaoke! They started their Memorial Day celebrating yesterday afternoon, and now, at 6:54 a.m. the next day, they've finally lowered the music. Now they're just talking--in very LOUD voices.

So, after two melatonin pills, and dozing here and there, this is what my brain feels like.

As if it were wrapped in bubble wrap. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Happy Monochrome Monday

Crazy Tuesday : Bubble wrap

Inside my raised herb planter I now have a selection of flattened basil , thyme and coriander - expertly squashed by Henry. The bubblewrap was supposed to keep pests out !

Many of my flickr friends have been dealing with some difficult issues lately. Grief. Depression. Missed opportunities. Rock bottoms. Brick walls. Uncertainty. And the ghosts of the past making late night calls.

I wish I could catch you all midfall and set you down gently.

I wish I could chase the ghosts from beneath your beds and make them go away.

I wish I could wrap you all in bubble wrap to protect you from the hard edges of life.

Bubble and Squeak is a British dish made from cooked potatoes and cabbage, mixed together and fried.

Week 3-52

I lined up some small screws for this weeks challenge of macro , the bokeh is created by some silver foil bubble wrap behind and lit by a torch.

Here is the solution to this problem as promised! No soap! No bubblewrap! Just a glass of water and a tap with some good old fashioned water pressure! :)

Bidens flower with bubble wrap. For Macro Mondays theme of "plastic".

Still way behind on editing / sorting out images from last few weeks. The sky over Monmouth was amazing - just like little pockets of bubblewrap.

Bubble wrap + cross polarization

I really like this effect!! Had so much fun doing it.

Bubble wrap

ODC - 7/4/2021 - Snap, Crackle, Pop

Not a meteorological term, I know, but descriptive of the sky yesterday above St Mary and St Lawrence Church, Rosedale Abbey.

This is the first photo I took with objects layered over the direct positive film prior to exposure, in this case it was bubble wrap. The object is applied in a dark bag, image exposed, object removed from the camera in a dark bag and the film is developed in camera. Initially I considered this photo a fail. I didn’t like the thought of wasting paper so I stitched bubble wrap onto the overexposed portion of the paper. Now my “failed” photos that have been embellished have become my favorites. I didn’t record an exposure time for this photo, it’s on direct positive paper and was developed in camera.

Wrapped up in bubblewrap, without eyes or hair.

Still feeling a bit like I'm living out of a box, which is likely because I am. Or rather, several boxes. But almost there.
