Well, not really. This is a stairway/ramp on the Biltmore Estate that leads to the hill one climbs to get up to the gazebo where there is a marble statue of Diana, the goddess of the hunt. From that elevated vantage point, one is looking down at Biltmore House.

Three people started walking up the stairs at the perfect time to be at the top of the stairs when I snapped this.

I believe I have found the home of Boo Radley in "To Kill a Mockingbird" in Louisville, Georgia. Here is a description of the house from the book by Harper Lee.

"The house was low, was once white with a deep front porch and green shutters, but had long ago darkened to the color of the slate-gray yard around it. Rain-rotted shingles drooped over the eaves of the veranda (porch); oak trees kept the sun away."

Actually the house is the "Little House" in Louisville, Ga, and it for sale for $15,000, but you have to renovate it on site to get it for that price.

"When I drove by my favorite little church

in Raymond the other day I was delighted

to see that it had received a fresh coat of

paint on it's shutters & doors, some pretty

new light posts out front, and a new brick

walkway and steps....very nice!" :)

With an admiring fan looking on

Almost forgot to add this digital painted photo today.

Image from a visit to Longwood Gardens captured back in the spring.

Been playing around with it the last few months in various painterly apps on the iPad to layer up and see what I would get with it.

This one uses layers from Brushstroke, CleverPainter and Waterlogue with blend modes and opacity settings. Also used Laminar Pro and PS Touch in the process.

The image was originally captured with iPhone.

Built in 1859, this Italianate style building is the Orange County Courthouse in Orange, Virginia. This structure replaced the 1804 courthouse which stood on this same property.

Sin dalla mia infanzia tra casa e scuola,

nella mia gioventù da un posto all'altro,

per tutta la mia vita, e persino nei sogni,

hai abitato nel mio cuore.

Isola di sole che offri a tutti

palme e spiagge, uccelli e frutti,

quell'estate rovente che amo,

quell'albero campagnolo e libero,

disposta ogni giorno a prendersi cura del fiore

indispensabile della speranza

mi alimenti sempre un anelito di pace.

Il tuo amore mi sprona, il tuo amore mi colma

di luce, patria !, arriverà il ritorno

e il tuo bacio che ci aspetta.

This isn't for my 365. I was tagged, and wanted to do it before I forgot. So I found one of my favorite pictures of me, since it just desrcibes me so well (Girly enough to love dresses, particularly prom dresses, but boyish enough to wear my Chucks.)

I can't take credit for this, it's one of my Senior portraits. Photo credit goes to Sarah Tarabocchia at Imago Dei Photography.

10 Things.

1. My favorite shoe in the entire world is Converse Chuck Taylors. High tops specificially. My dream is to own a pair in every color. I'd settle for some being colored laces though, to go with all of my back pairs. Right now I've got black, purple, and green. Plus my vintage gray ones with the Chuck symbol on them.

2. I'm not sure a day goes by without me watching Law and Order: SVU.

3. I don't remember how to fall asleep by myself without a movie or something playing in the background.

4. There are a few things that I "girl out" over. Dresses/shopping is one. Others include shoes, jewelry, my hair, and cute and fluffy animals.

5. I want an English Bulldog so badly. I would name him something British or formal sounding, but I'm not entirely sure what yet. Humphrey, Leonard, etc.

6. My first year of college (both in general and as a theatre major) is almost done. This scares the living poo out of me.

7. I've been toying with the idea of opening my own theatre when I leave college. But really, I haven't decided what I want to do once I graduate. Act, direct, teach etc. Just something in theatre.

8. Fruit punch and I are in love. It is likely to be served at my wedding.

9. I never stay single for very long. I just don't like it.

10. My family and friends mean the world to me. I'd be nothing without thier love and support, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

As you have probably read, we don't do very well with snow here in Georgia. Here are my front steps, and the snow definitely makes them slippery.

Work on my future brother in law Pete's house seen in Kingston NY on June 8,1985 that will soon be my youngest sister Sandy and his house the top floor anyway with 2 apartment units on the first floor they will rent out this is the doorway to the top floor they moved to another house in 1989.
