For no good reason whatsoever! Did this one a couple years ago. So I figured since Chad declared this the OOB December and this being the season for sharing, why not share?
Sunset in Songkhla: from an image by Martin Nicholson. The two clouds show that the break-out convection in the centre of the anvil is not an accident but is a result of the conditions that involve both vertical humidity and density gradients.
The two clouds have been seeded by seasonal agricultural burning in calm conditions over land beyond the lake. Normally pyrocumulus initiated by fires in this tropical climate lean in wind aloft and morph to cirrus above at high altitudes. Three more typical pyrocumulus clouds are shown in the image taken in Bangkok in the comments below.
Have you seen Lava? That gooey molten yellow liquid rock slowly making its way down, creating an ominous foreboding aura?
My main quest to the Big Island of Hawaii was exactly that. And so, when I was told that I would not be able to hike up to watch the lava flow into the ocean, I was terribly disappointed.
The only option was to actually observe it from air. And that is what I ended up doing with the Safari Helicopters tour in Big Island.
Hovering a dozen yards (meters) above the surface of that glowing yellow rock was scary, exciting, and exhilarating, all at the same time. To observe the process of the newest part of the planet was just a great thrill indeed!
Here is one such breakout of lava, which lasts but a few minutes. Shot with a tele lens at ISO 3200, F8 at 1/800s

You gotta breakout
You're out in the world out there
Impossible dreams can take you where
Ooh, You can win it all
Sneak out, it's the way you feel
Reaching up to make it real
Ooh, Together we can win it all
No more running in a golden cage
There's only one way you're gonna go from pain
Ooh you gotta breakout now
You gotta breakout now
You gotta breakout - you're taking on the world
Ooh you gotta breakout now
You gotta breakout
The fools still shake out
You're taking on the world
Ooh you gotta breakout now
You gotta breakout now
You gotta breakout
You're taking on the world
Ooh you gotta breakout
The fools still shake out
Gotta breakout
You're taking on the world
Taking on the world tonight
Like a cat on a hot tin roof
It don't take long to see the truth
You can do anything you want to
Push it to the limit don't ever stop
There's only one way you're gonna get on top
Taking on the world
Breakout now
Breakout now
You're taking on the world
Breakout now (breakout now)
Breakout now (breakout now)
You're taking on the world
No more living under the gun
There's only one way you're gonna get on top

My 11th entry into the CCC XIV, for the ‘Pit of Dispair’ category. Inspired by Marcel's Marcel’s excellent dungeon scene for last years CCC. The floor design was inspired by LL.
The one eyed Wolfpack gang had several members captured recently by the Blue Dragons, so Rolf led a breakout.
The dungeon sentries were caught off guard and quickly overpowered. Rolf admired some new loot for a moment, and then set his compatriots free.
Breakout Session: Connectivity
Technology is one of the defining forces of our collective future, reshaping the way we learn, innovate, and connect with one another. Today, new digital technologies and advancements—such as the Internet of Things, smart devices, artificial intelligence, and the block chain—are increasingly changing the concept of connectivity itself and enhancing our ability to maximize human potential. The strategies we design and the investments we make will impact how equitably access to these innovations is shared—and how drastically livelihoods will be improved as a result.
How can we bridge the digital divide of today and harness the potential of connectivity to impact our societies, environment, and economies of tomorrow?

The Tower of Terror has gone away to Yesterland, but like a phoenix from the ashes, Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout! has risen to take its place. I have not yet had the pleasure to ride it (because standing in 2 hour long lines isn't my favorite thing to do) but I've seen footage of the ride experience and it looks like fun! As for the exterior, I think we can all agree it's grea--uh, I mean...I think we can all agree it's terrib--er, uhm...
I think we can all agree it's there!

Never got to pick up Stormer XL back in the day. It now gives me great pleasure to unveil my modified version of the Big Daddy Bot, thus completing my standardized BREAKOUT Revamps.
Added the obligatory tires and shoulder add-ons. Filled in the gaps. Did away with the laser pin-pointer feature and now feel a lot happier with the creation.

After a stretch of mind numbing, soul stealing bitter cold the breakout commences. The temp never did rise above 30f for this hike but after -20f for over a week it felt like summer! I live in unimaginable beauty and to be be able to walk in this beauty everyday is inspiring. I love Colorado.
